Dragy times

Same here in a custom file, 540 hp and 700nm. Daily driver and run on e30 blend.

Car is sooo much better.

Well looked after though and fluids etc regularly changed.

That’s good to know. How often are you servicing?? Do it yourself or garage??.............

Yes it’s my daily, 12,000+ miles since remapping and no issues. REVO map very OEM+ in my opinion, smooth delivery and the TVS tune has improved the gear changes no end and can stick it in dynamic/sport around town now without the car holding onto gears too long.
Agree about the car holding gears too long in its standard form...........
To your knowledge are there any known/common problems or faults with remapping (other than facial aging from
All the constant smiling)

Proper services at an independent
Oil service in between myself.

New plugs every 5K (colder NGK 9’s)

Haldex service done twice now (15k and 25k)

DSG service at same interval as above.

Recently changed both Diff oil which gets neglected even by the Dealers.

Basically the car wants for nothing.

This is my first step into tuning so not that experienced to comment outside my one and only remap!

These engines are pretty solid providing looked after but a good stage 1 map shouldn’t cause any undue stress to the engine components I would have thought.

Warm the car up properly before giving it any stick and let it idle for a few mins before switching off after any spirited driving.

Regarding the map, torque is the key, most keep it under 700nm on stock block.

As said revo is a very conservative oem plus like map, torque is kept lower than most others at stage 1, just under 600nm where was Mrc, apr and so on will quote around 650.

I asked the question to revo directly around servicing. They’ve designed everything so you can just stick to the regular service schedule but of course more regular servicing isn’t going to hurt.

That’s one well looked after car!

What’s the usual schedule for Haldex, DSG and Diff?
Have to admit I normally let the dealer tell me but my faith in them isn’t great so better if I take your approach and look to carry out more regular servicing at a local Indi!

Revo maps in additional temperate protection so you can’t Rev the car out past 4800 initially, then it increases as the engine gets warmer

With what I’m using I can set it to any Rev limit I want when cold.

I’ve raised the Rev limit on cold start as it gets rid of the annoying beep and I don’t need a limiter to tell me what I know already with a cold engine.

If it goes in to a garage I just switch it into low boost mode.

Oh, you no longer have the RS3, what you in now?

Got offered 1500 more than I paid for it, after only 10 months. So with that along with the equity I had in the car got me my original deposit back, cost of mods and a nice chunk of change.

M2 Comp, must say though, man do I miss the RS3s sound

Nice mate!

Currently looking at my options with c£9k equity from what I’ve been offered from WBAC but really struggling to find anything better without increasing my monthlies!

Test driving an RSQ3 tomorrow but not convinced it’s worth it over my car, just love the RS3!

Enjoy the M2, they look awesome!

I was looking at M2 comps before I got the Rs3 but decided against as I needed a daily, commuter, family car etc. Situation has changed now though and none of those apply.

Like you’re finding though, you’ll struggle to get a better all round package and that 5 pot id stick with the RS3 if that’s what you’re considering a switch to!

M2 is awesome so far but completely different drive obviously. It’s my first bmw and rear wheel drive for that matter so not going mad. Exhaust is a must, just looking at whether I dare tune it too but I’ll save that for the bmw forum

Also try automotive addiction, they’ll beat we buy any car I bet. Also check out evil GTs latest few videos on YouTube, I think they went with motorway.com
