Hi. Getting a new to me A4 Avant in 2 weeks. It’s a private sale. Wondering what’s the best way to reset everything so the previous owners phone connection and any other user related things aren’t there? So I can start from scratch as if it were a new car basically adding me as the driver and setting everything up as I want it. I presume that’s what a dealer would do if it hadn’t been a private sale.

Thanks

Am I correct in saying if I have my phone connected through Apple Carplay there's no need to have a paid for Audi connect license as I can get the mapping, traffic etc. through google maps that way?

The remote locking/unlocking will require a subscription but it is a more reasonable cost (something like £50/year) rather than £120 odd quid for the overlay, on line traffic, etc.

Yes you can view Google maps that way

....but without the maps/ route guidance on the dash screen, and not as good quality if that type of thing is important to you
