Max speed FL RS3.

Saw a video on Instagram of a FL RS3 pretty much full speed but the display said it was only in 6th gear.
Can the top speed max out in 6th or would you get more top speed in 7th.
Might sound like a stupid question, I know my pfl had to go into 7th to hit top speed but someone is saying 7th is just for fuel economy. Not sure fuel economy would be a thought at 180mph.

Speed limiter is bypassed in 6th so they say.

I have done an indicted 180mph in a FL GPF car at Bruntingthorpe, ran out of road but think it would have done a couple mph more. This was all in 6th

Took my pre-facelift stage 2 RS3 to Vmax200 and I found my indicated speed of 181mph was actually only 173.2mph according to the V-Box and official time of 173.31mph.
A tuned facelift RS3 has more legs at higher speeds with a 530hp RS3 passing me at 136mph and maxed out at 176mph.

Evolve eventuri's one maxed out at 200 I believe at vmax200 last year, mind you it is an incredibly tuned/modified car.

They managed to get 200mph on the clock but the speedometer wouldn't register anything above that.
The official recorded speed was 211mph
Shame the car was destroyed by a fire.
