Nearly 6 years late to the party ‍♂️ wish I'd have joined earlier as there is so much useful information on here and looks like loads of people willing to share their knowledge and research. Hopefully I might be able to throw my 5 pence worth in for some. My B7 avant 2.0tfsi K04 Turbo, airtec fmic, S3 injectors, decat, autotech hpfp, with 18z's, RS4 rear ARB, Coilovers and a few other bits I forget.

What’s the power figures for you A4 mate?

Ive just put a K04 and all supporting mods on mine. Had a custom tune and dialled it in to 340bhp as the car is high mileage (141k!)

Very nice mate the K04 doesn't half transform it doesn't it! Mine only made 308bhp as had some fuelling issues with the lpfp so need to swap that out but it also needs a new box now. The single mass has pretty much knackered it with increased harshness and vibrations. Chassis is 217k and engine is 170k but still purrs like a bag of spanners

The K04 does liven it up for sure! It should have came out the factory like it!

Dan i haven't been on this forum in a while and seen they changed it and i couldn't log in so lost interest for a bit sorted the log in now though but anyway going off track so you got the car mapped then? 340hp is great! I cant remember what we all guessed now lol glad to see its already running some strong numbers, I'm so torn as to what to do, supposed to be saving for an e63 for end of this year but had my eye on a couple of superquads and doing the k04 on the b7 still occasionally comes into my mind i need convincing :) but that cts turbo looks like a right little beast i may have to order one.

It’s bang in the middle of what we guessed. You said 330, I said 350 ha ha.

It’s definitely quick. If the rods were forged and we could push for max torque it would be fast for a car that weighs 1.5 tons.

You’re not that far from me. Once restrictions are eased I can pop up and you can drive it. See if it convinces you

Oh right lol that's awesome thought i said 330 i couldn't find post we was chatting on now everything's changed here, yeah once its eased that sounds like a plan think thats the drug i need to convince me, what was the link to company you used for the turbo again? I found one its £1250 sent to uk but just says economy no dates on there and dont say if duties are inc another site adds all the duties and postage in and its like £1800 price varies massively.

Got it from here mate:

£1500 all in, that’s turbo, delivery and taxes.

Delivery took 3 weeks and that was only because I ordered it a couple days before Christmas.

Thanks Dan, Did you fit the turbo yourself? Looks like people generally take the whole front end off (rad pack ect) was that the case with yours?

I think you may need more convincing Ricky.

@Ricky Burrows - I paid my local Audi specialist to do it mate. Was about £300 I think.

If I had a garage I’d have had a go at it myself but didn’t fancy doing it on the drive in the wind and rain

I was fortunate enough to do mine in the summer so did it on the driveway. Don't need to take the rad pack off just all the appropriate oil and coolant lines, exhaust, air box, underside mount and breathers for the pcv system and it'll come out the top but a bit hard to get to some of the bolts just got to be persistent

@Owenb7avant - You haven’t been in Bristol recently by any chance?

I saw a b7 identical to yours take off at speed on the dual carriage way near my house not so long ago!

Not the best pictures, they are from the original auto trader listing and I haven't taken any myself yet.

Probably not the right place to put this but piston number one decided it needed some fresh air today so there's a lot of k04 upgrades here ready for someone to take on if anyone is interested. Or if anyone needs any parts let me know 07565660942
best plan would be too make a list or similar and put it in classifieds.

Hi all,

Just picked this up a few months ago with only 67k on it. Looking to maybe do some changes on it and at the moment I'm very happy with it. If anyone can recommend any changes feel free to let me know

She does need a clean first.

Yes I've had B7 now nearly 8 years still love it. Hard to beat and pretty much how I want it now.

Thinking of putting the original wheels back on now the better weather is here. And maybe a RS4 grill if one pops up

Were did you get the custom tune?9 No one seems to want to help me. Ive got a4 cabrio 2006 1.8t. If just put a os power k04 on it. It has a stage 1 tune on it allready i got that done 6months ago when i bought the car. Can you reckomend anywere. I dont mind travelling .thks Paul

Now I’m not in such a bad mood with it, here’s mine. 2.0t Avant SE.

I always think mine looks a little less nicer than others, something doesn’t look quiet right - it has the saggy **** end and the front looks too high with no splitter. Think it’s also the most underwhelming colour!
Tow bar needs to come off too (my poor shins)

I do enjoy it though when its running well!

I rather like that colour chap.
Red is my no1 preference, but some of the metallic blues are a close 2nd.
Black has never been my preferred choice but sometimes the car and spec override the colour.

I must correct you on your model description chap, yours is a Special Edition, not an SE, the two are in fact very different spec variants.
So many owners call special edition models SE's, SE isn't short for Special edition.

On the ride height side of things , yours is just like most other special editions, low on the rear and high fronts.
Quattro's are more affected than 2wd variants for some reason.
Wheel offset doesn't help as it make the arches look too deep, spacers make a massive diffeence.

Yours may be sagging now with age and milage if it's the original units, probably time for a change for something far superior in ride quality, handling and ride height.
I hate towbars full stop if they are fixed, they really ruin the appearance of the car, I went with a detachable neck Westfalia so it's not visible when not in use.

Nice car .:thumbs up:
