My visible display was working fine but i was changing something else in car and my son pressed buttons which then went in to bitloader i had to put cd 3 back in for it to boot back up. But ever since that i do not have the visible display part. I have plugged vcds in and the option is ticked.

Any help would be great. I have added ehat versions my unit is.

I have a A5 S5 4.2 v8. So though it would come under this as its S5 page?
Sorry, thought this was the B9 section for some stage, no idea why. Your in the correct section, apologies.

not sure what you mean by “bitloader”. Where you using VCDS and that’s where buttons where pressed m, or where buttons pressed while in the engineering menu?

Was afraid of this. If vcds coding then it would be a case of look at your change log and reverse any changes made, Bootloader is different. Not sure what to suggest as it’s dangerous to play around there. While I myself would normally be able to restore this if the vehicle came to me, if your playing with boot loader the chances are you have also performed your own firmware updates etc, which is cool if that’s your thing, but if this is the case then the official service tool will actually flag your unit as invalid for the vehicle and refuse to perform a restoration. If not then I would suggest a trip to a authorised services provider, like myself, in order to restore.

I only used vcds to check of the box was ticked after i put cd 3 back in so it got of bootloader. And then used vcds to code the new car battery.
