Went on Saturday morning and picked the car up from badger 5.
Was a very enjoyable drive home
This is the switch for the 4 maps and then the eml flashes to tell you what map you are on.

There is also a green light that lights up when the meth is flowing

Got plenty of meth to do me while. As you can see by the meth tank I was giving it plenty of boost on the way home the motorways where empty which was good.

Has anyone had experience with the likes of devils own or coolingmistuk pre mixed meth. Like is the consistency always right?
I was thinking it would save me the bother if it's as good as mixing it myself.

Err I do some times hate this car. It blew a coolant leak this afternoon

Has any one any experience with the metal coolant flanges you can get. I only got that plastic one replaced about a year ago and now its broke again.

Ah sad times mate. I’m replacing all mine with metal ones. Just grab a set off eBay, they are all the same, clean out the burrs and your good to go

Yeah was thinking that but had a look on ebay but couldn't find the ones for a s3. Any I clicked on said doesn't fit keep looking. Would you be able to put a link up for them if you can?
Had a look on awesome gti but not paying £160 for them.

I got mine from creations motorsport suppose to be on sale for around 50quid haven’t fitted yet tho I’ll change em as they brake

Heard mixed reviews about the premixed stuff, the only way to know for sure would be to use a Hydrometer which are pretty inexpensive & would tell you what percentage it's at..........Hydro & his hydrometer:salute:

Maintaining a tuned car takes up a lot of effort but it's worthwhile! :respekt:

I'm in need of two new front tyres. I've currently got pirelli p0's on and was wondering what other tyres people think are good.

You've probably heard it a ton of times and will hear it many times in the future too. Michelin Pilot Sport 4's. I run them and love them. Loads better than the Primacy 4 I had on before

How do you like that AEM WMI kit? I see it's the V3. Do you know any differences between the V2/V3? I am considering slapping on WMI on my car but it'll be the V2

My vote dude would be -

All weather (more summer tyre though)
Pilot sport 4’s
Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5’s

Or if your budget can stretch it
Yokohama AO52’s

Reviews suggest they handle fairly well in the wet.

I would have gone with the AO52’s had I’ve known about them before I bought my AD08RS tyres.

However this time of year, not sure how either of those cope with icy roads

I wouldn't be happy with any track focussed tyre on a car this time of the year, Just wouldn't work well.I run Michelin Pilot Super Sports in a 245/35/18 size on my TT and they work really well.

I contacted AEM about the differences between the 2 systems

''The only difference is the new v3 nozzle design. Aside from that the kits are identical and yes you will still get the same cooling and octane boost with WMI injection regardless if which kit. You can also purchase v3 nozzles separately to upgrade a v2 kit as well.''

Got my delivery of pre mixed meth from coolingmistuk today and I also picked up a hydrometer to test it. As you can see it was dead on 50/50,I checked 2 of the 5L containers and both where the same.

Nice to know they are mixing it correctly! I’ve dealt with Bruce (owner) over the years, real nice guy, knows his stuff. I’ve currently got a 25L of 99.98% meth ready to mix up to go in my car

He helped me getting the stuff I needed to run the 2nd meth nozzle and he was very helpful.
I bought the pre mixed stuff it just seemed easier that way.
50 litres if you mix it 50/50 will do you a while.

I’ll be running 80/20 on my build mate, that was the main reason for buying it neat. That and it was easier for me to just go and collect it from him. Unfortunately he can’t send it via couriers in that quantity neat, you have to have a licence and insurances being so flammable. Badger5 have there own supply, not sure where they get it from.

Sorry lads as you’re on the topic have any of you guys read or heard of any reviews of snow performance stage 2 kit that pro race engineering sell ?

Snow performance is used a lot over in the states, the pumps are very similar I believe but it’s the controllers that differ. I don’t have any experience either with snow performance. Best person to speak to is Bruce from CoolingMistUK get his opinion on it, AEM has been faultless on my build, quite a few additions have been added to it now and still performed perfectly.

Thanks mate appreciate it I’ll email them, I’m just thinking logically it’s only gunna be a stage 2 map I want the engine to last as long as poss for the time being just to be safe and it seems the meth kits do a job and are worth there money don’t fancy getting cheesey rods in the first year

Deffo worth the money in my opinion, to an extent..... post intercooler and a secondary nozzle in the inlet manifold sees the most gains from a meth setup, I’ve tried a volute injector in the compressor housing and direct port injectors which yielded nothing on my last build, the direct port and 80/20 meth might be more beneficial on my next build though.

It’ll help keep your temps down, especially when your tracking the car.... at stage 2 it’ll give you some minor increase in bhp, just got to keep that torque down below the usual 300ft/lbs and not coming in aggressively and your rods “should” be alright

So they say mate only time will tell.. that’s good info to know thanks

That's where I have my 2 meth nozzles aswell. Did think of going direct port but I think for a hybrid build it would be wasted and I've no plans to go big turbo.
If ur on fb @Brad1011 look up his page and ask him there or someone on it might be able to help you out

I'm going to order some new shocks and springs.
My plan was to get the B8 shocks and h@r 25mm springs.
Is that a good setup to go with?
I dont want the car to be all stiff and like a go-kart.
What are B12 like and is it B14 like?

I’ve got B8 and H&R springs on mine mate. Pretty good midway point, much better handling but not break your back sort of business. Many others including Tuffty runs this setup

Is there a good place to buy the shocks and springs from?
Also planning a complete refresh underneath with new subframe, wishbones and all that jazz. Would pollybushing everything make the car to stiff for road driving? Don't want it being like a go-cart it would make it a terrible thing to drive.
I plan to get the cbauto adjustable rear tie bars and I see on his site he has all the pollybushes I would need.
What would people recommend ro pollybush?
I also have a r32 arb to go on what would the best size bush a 19mm?

I’d get the super pro kit full Jobby and just replace as you go think it’s around 450 but you’ll need the r32 anti roll bar bushes you could get standard oem ones I suppose
