Hi all;
I have an Audi A4 Avant 2.0TDI 143 2012.
As in my title my goal would be to get the car to as close to 250bhp as possible if not more!
Im wondering what I would need to change to get there. I know I would need to change air filter, radiator, downpipe/exhaust and turbo, but would this - A. Be enough to get up to 250? B. Would I need to change any stock items? For example would the suspension, clutch, gearing, be enough to handle the power on this model?
It is already mapped to about 185bhp and 420nm but that is all that i have changed atm.
Thanks!

P.S. Has anyone modified the same or similar model? What gains have you got with what mods?
(Obligatory Picture, the front grill and badging is now gloss black also)

Buy a 3.0 tdi quattro .
Ive had this car since 2013, I couldn't bring myself to sell it. This car will be driven to scrap :) Maybe after a 3.0 would be nice but for now I'm looking to get this to as high Bhp as I can without changing completely all the stock internals.

I'm looking into this myself. New clutch (Sachs performance), new turbo (something from the garrett range), delete pipe, FMIC, fuel pump, uprated injectors, suspension, uprated brakes (312 or 340 or 345mm setups), camshaft, and valve springs. Cost would be around 5k. Should take you to 300bhp and theres a few examples of this on the CR140 engine kicking about.

If you want to achieve 220-230 power then you'd need a lot less.

I’d like to do it bit by bit really, would you say to start with intake and intercooler then to turbo? The stock internals should be able to cope with a decent boost since there is a 170 a4 pretty much the same

Intake probably won't do much, biggest hindrance on your model is the turbo followed by injectors which with an adequately sized intercooler would no doubt be in the ball park of what you want.

Bigger turbo's generally mean more lag, if it's none quattro not the best base for big power also from experience this WILL all cost triple what's expected.

A big turbo, injectors larger FMIC and a nice strong clutch. Darkside sell everything you want, have a look there then look else where to see if you can find it cheaper. Don't get your car mapped by them.

I'm still unsure if you can slap on a bigger turbo, FMIC, and even uprated injectors and then drive your car to have it mapped. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in on this.

My approach is to first swap out the suspension, clutch and DMF (sach's performance clutch will suffice). I've been in contact with bobby singh (member on this forum) to discuss what needs to be done next. Might be worth speaking to him.

You won't be able to fit injectors without it being mapped. Fitting a larger turbo shouldn't be so much of an issue especially on an already mapped car. Just drive sensibly till you can get it mapped.
