Anyone experienced this ?

Enter car - put in keys to start the ignition and my hazzard lights are automatically switched on

Feels difficult to start as if the battery has been losing power - but will start

I have a couple of fault codes relating to the siren being toast ( so the alarm doesnt sound but the light flash when tripped )

Are these issues related ?

Clearly I need a new siren but before I speak to the stealers I would like to have a bit more information

01370 - Alarm triggered by Interior Monitoring
35-00 - -
01134 - Alarm Horn (H12)
49-00 - No Communications

01378 - Ultra Sonic Sensor for Alarm System; Right (G171)
27-00 - Implausible Signal
01380 - Alarm triggered by Anti-Theft Sensor; Rear Left
35-00 - -

Many thanks

Could be a tired battery, I experienced this a few years ago. To the point where my ABS light came on as well. Swapped the battery out for a new one and all happy again.

Have you cleared all the codes and descended to see ongoing faults @spiker

Thank you both

Yes I did clear the codes a month back and then rescanned to see these codes

Its possible I guess that the battery is not 100% , just weird that if the battery was providing poor performance I would wonder why it would trip the hazzards at ignition- surely thats just going to add more unnecessary load when starting ?

Think i might just invest in a battery charger

Any recommendations ? - something from Halfrauds useful or should I avoid ?

Get yourself a drop tester to test your battery properly and I wouldn't touch halfrauds with a barge pole also clear all of your codes again and rescan.

Do you have direct experience with this one ? - or did you look this up and think thats what I would buy in your situation - just curious

It looks like it could be ideal
Got one in the garage just not had cause to use it yet, purchased a Duracell advanced car battery type 027 5year guarantee in June 2018 been good as gold...DA62H part number.

Needs a new siren unit, the battery's have leaked and corroded the circuit board which is why you cant hear the siren.

The RING charger recommended by MPH works well and it does have the ability to charge and also cold start an engine if not even plugged in to the mains which is a bonus

On amazon it does say that it has this option but then someone had reviewed this and said it didnt - but i have checked and it does

Before I charged the battery i tested the ignition again and the hazzard lights came on , after a 4 hour charge no hazzard lights

So the hazzard lights appear to be an indication of a low battery - new one on me

Thanks - I have to the same conclusion too , so appreciate the coment and will have this changed soon

Get the Duracell one that I mentioned earlier in the post two-and-a-half years now trouble-free get it from euro parts when they have a 50% discount sale I think I paid about 50 quid.

Hi, my hazard lights will randomly flash when ignition is switched on. I bought a replacement off eBay using “car fitment” and not oem number, (didn’t have to hand) just assumed it was the right one
