A4 pre-facelift LED headlights to facelift xenon headlights

Hi all, looking to do a B8 facelift to new headlights, bumper etc. I think I have most things figured out except headlights.
If I have LED headlights on the pre facelift, what will I have to do in order to fit xenon facelift headlights? thanks for any help
 
Sure the car you've got is LED? I thought all B8-8.5 were either halogen or bi-xenon (range adjustment).

The codes on my Allroad with xenon headlights are:
8BP = Bifunctional headlight with gas discharge lamp
8Q5 = Headlight range adjustment, automatic/dynamic with dynamic bending light (AFS 1)
8QB = Identification light preparation

Not sure if I can answer your questions, but the bumper you're fitting will need headlight washers on xenon lamps. Not sure if the headlight units come with xenon ballast units?

thank you so much for the help, I am probably thinking of the LED DRL, and have the bi-xenon lights, that thread is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much!
 
If you have xenon lights already then it is an easy swap, the drl control unit is the same across b8 to 8.5 but the main beam requires a different controller.
 
Off the top of my head no, it wasn’t difficult to find though when I was looking for it.
 
Why on earth would you spend money on doing your front ugly? Hood and grill, and bumper, and lights, and to just have a slightly different front end, but way more ugly?

the looks are clearly subjective, I prefer the look, you don't
 
I thinks the looks part is down to the individual, I think the b8.5 looks fine as far as a face lift goes if I didn't have a Dynamik with the extra styling as conversion would have been something I considered....

just seen this, what controller is the one that needs to be changed?
 
From a B8 Allroad front perspective with xenons - it's sweet as a nut! I'll get my coat!

The part numbers may be in my project thread, but it is the main beam controller, the DRL controller works across both headlight units.
