Mercedes CLA 250

A couple of photos I took last week, with number plate blanked out for posting in other places. :innocent:
The rear angle is my favourite on this car.
Yeah pity about the fake exhaust pipes, but at least they dont get dirty.

@Snake Pliskin Well it took me a while to try it but I have now and I'm loving it...especially for making calls. :thumbs up:
I just say "Mercedes" though which has the female voice responding. :)
I eventually figured out after saying "phone" and "call" that "dial" was the best word to use followed by the name. I still need to speak clearly and leave a brief pause between dial and the name for it to work faultlessly first time though.
Yeah I'm loving this voice control thingy now.....which makes me think I should have used it when I had it in the past, but maybe wouldn't have been quite as good. :grinning:

ha ha told ya mate .... like you I thought it would be a useless gimmick, but spoken commands are brilliant with the Merc aren't they :icon thumright:
It is staggeringly accurate. I even use it to select albums from my ipod which I have connected via MMI and again it always gets the right album.

I've just had my car detailed and ceramic coated and am very pleased with the results. :sunglasses:
Company is called Scotwheels Detailing based in a small village in Fife. The location is a bit out of the way but I can very much recommend the professional and friendly service they provide.
I am looking forward to much more pleasurable cleaning during the Winter months now. :)

My niece's bf is getting an 18 plate white CLA soon.
An 18 plate will be the previous shape...I'm sure he will love it. :)
Regarding colour I originally wanted the solid red but by the time I got round to ordering my car Mercedes had discontinued this colour. White was my second choice but I am more than happy with it now and glad I chose it.
Had I bought the CLA 35 which I seen and wanted first then I would probably have went for the AMG exclusive colour of Sun Yellow. :sunglasses:

Yes I am very impressed with the results. Being a solid paint colour the results were never going to be quite as good as what can be achieved with a metallic, but I knew this and am more than happy!
By coincidence the last car I had ceramic coated was also white(Championship).
Gave my car its first wash a few days ago exactly a week after the work was completed. Noticeably less dirt and grime had stuck to it, and any that had pretty much all hosed off during my pre wash rinse.
The coating used is Aqua Coat Pro from Coating Farm and can give up to 3 years protection.
Took 2 days of work then I left it an extra day for curing.
Total cost was £395.

That's a really good for 2 days of work to that level of quality.
Mine could do with a good coat of wax again - I may do it over Christmas now having been inspired by yours :icon thumright:

Between that, the A5 and the new 4 series the Merc is the best looking car despite being the oldest

I am assuming you are talking about the C Class pictured above.
I do like it a lot but its getting on a bit now.
Mercedes have tended to go with a 7 year change schedule for new models, so it is almost at the end of its life now.

@Snake Pliskin - You not using Gyeon Cure on that Merc SP?

Looking good there my friend.
Yes I did pick some of that up & it is superb I just say.
I’ve only given the car a shampoo the last couple of months though - been slacking - so about time I added a layer of protection again.
