A1 SAT NAV

Hi everyone
My wife has purchased an Audi a1 Sline 2011 model however it does not have sat nav , ( there is only one memory card slot in the stereo) however whatI would like to ask the forum is
If I were to buy a sat nav system from ebay with two slots and cards would this instantly give me a working sat nav ?

Hi,

Unfortunately it’s not that simple, as even if you manage to retro fit the parts you buy from eBay, you will also need to purchase the licence and SD card with the maps from a reputable source - Audi charge around £500 - £600 for this package, or call one the Audi retro fit specialist listed on this site for advice. You will see SD Maps on eBay for £20 less, but these will not work unless you have the system activated by an Audi dealer or specialist with the appropriate equipment. I tried for years to find a way around this, as did many other people, but failed, so in the end I bought a decent Garmin sat nav for £100 with lifetime map updates and that worked fine.

Asked all them same questions and eventually had HazzyDayz sort ours (a 2013 AUDI A1 Black Edition 1.4 TFSi 185ps S-tronic) back in July 2016 for £1600

Was it worth it, not sure as we moved the car on after 2-years
