I've not been on the forum for a while but just happened to read through yesterday and felt I needed to post this really.

I've had my car tweaked at Infinit, facelift RS3 (18) and the service has been absolutely second to none. I actually went to see him after the original Boycott page was made, I had made a booking prior to that and stuck to it.

I went for stage 2+, so full map, gearbox map, downpipe, intercooler, turbo elbow and hardpipe. It was a complete transformation but he looked after me from start to finish. Talked me through the different options on the maps, did I want map switching and rolling launch etc and how it all works and what to do if I want to go for more power.

The tech who works there also did a health check on the car to make sure everything was great, I even took the chance to have a walk under the car and see it for myself. The tech (Alan) then showed me what he was doing, which bits were a pain to do and which bits were straight forward. I could have spent all day in the workshop with him but I had work to do.

After about 10 days of running with everything, I decided the noise was slightly too loud for the occasional school run so called Aoon to get the downpipe removed. Booked me in for a few days later, I went up, had the downpipe removed, had the car fully remapped again from scratch so it could be adjusted for the change in hardware and put on the rollers again to check the power. Not only did he do all of this for me, he actually refunded me the cost of the downpipe which I did not expect.

Running 523bhp/661nm and it's perfect. Drives faultlessly, so smooth and without the downpipe it's now exactly like stock, just a lot quicker when required. There are no sound differences except flaps open in dynamic which of course can be toggled to comfort etc.

Even in comfort with the downpipe on the noise was unchanged, but when on full chat in dynamic it was a beautiful noise, but the wife not so keen.

Just check Infinit's instagram, he does 10+ of these cars a week and everyone is now panicking because someone online started an Instagram page about 1-2 cars that have had issues supposedly.

I also saw Hamza's video switching to MRC, and if I was him, I'd have done exactly the same. When a massive firm 30 mins away from him offers to support his car for free, whilst also providing constant content for his youtube channel for free? Why would you not? Makes perfect business sense from that perspective. Grow the youtube channel, free content, all whilst causing some controversy online and increasing his subscribers as a result.

I’m glad you’ve had a good experience.

But I’m not buying the fact that MRC are closer as the reason for him to change tuner just a matter of a few weeks after going to all the trouble to travel up to and have Infinit do the tune, especially considering they are (were?) also friends.

I’ve actually been defending Aoon up to recently because I think it’s good someone young has set up their own business and tried to earn a living. But the behaviour and language used on some of his posts on social media show a lack of class and maturity. He’d be best off keeping his head down and concentrate on running his business.

TR Hamza seemed more impressed with the MRC map though did he not from his video? As sure on that Boycott page a lad had his mapped and then on the dyno elsewhere and it made nowhere near the power that was promised. Everyone’s going to have different story’s and experiences I suppose, I can’t fault EcoTune/APR

Ah, I thought you were friends with Aoon on RS3OC?

I knew of Aoon from an old WhatsApp group that he hasn’t been a part of for about 2 years, nor have I. Like a lot of people I took an interest in his cars he modded etc! Hence the reason I went up to him in the first place

You’re all missing the fact that Hamza was driving on an octane boost map... but yes he was happy with the adjustments for wastegate rattle, pops and bangs and his launch control being sorted
Also Aoon has the same dyno cell as Litchfield, the best, and they always give lower readings. MRCs readings are always higher than what the car actually does on the road/strip.

Yeh but he promised 490 and it made 430. Sure there was a dyno graph too

did he not use MRC to map his cars rather than tune his own?
