Should I have found 2 Sport 2.0TDi’s, both 2013. Both seem to be very good spec but I can’t decide between them.

Here’s the first one and what extras it has:
5 door, 106k miles, 2 Owners, HPI Clear, 1 year 3rd Party Warranty applied with it:
  • Audi Exclusive Paint (Gorgeous light blue)
  • Technology Pack
  • Storage & Luggage Pack (although can’t see the rear 12v socket in the rear centre console!)
  • Comfort Pack
  • Driver Assistance Pack
  • Light & Rain Sensor Pack
  • Interior Lighting Pack
  • Audi Side Assist
  • Privacy Glass
  • 3D Design Optic Inlays
  • Through Load Facility & Rear Arm Rest
  • Black & Silver Cloth Sports Seats
  • Electric Lumbar Support
  • Reversible Boot Mat
  • Audi Sound System
  • Rear Side Airbags
  • Audi Parking System Plus with Park Assist
  • Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (Although I can’t see a radar unit in the front Grill!)
  • Lane Assist
  • High Beam Assist
That’s over £7000 worth of optional extras!

This one has partial service history up to 70k as the dealer told me the service book hasn’t been updated since (maybe because Audi don’t stamp them anymore and do everything online now?)
He has offered to service the car before collection of give £500 off.

Here’s the first one and what extras it has:
3 door, Black, 74k miles, 2 Owners, HPI Clear, Private seller:
  • Technology Pack
  • Milano Brown Leather
  • Parking System Plus (Front & Rear)
  • Hold Assist
That’s £3300 worth of optional extras!
This one is £500 more (after the £500 discount I get on the first one for it needing a service).

I know the brown leather might not be to everyone’s taste so I don’t know how hard it would be to sell on with this.

What one should I go for?

Just did a check on the first car through my Audi app and it appears on there that the only optional extras it has listed are:
  • Scuba Blue Paint
  • Audi Parking System Plus
  • Sat Nav - SD Card Based
All is not what it seems......

How accurate is the Audi equipment listing page?

just also noticed the second car has the Storage & Luggage Pack as well.

The first one easily, the driver assistance options are worth their weight in gold in our congested motorways. I have ACC and its bliss..I'd love to have lane assistance as well. The owner of that car clearly specced a car they intended on keeping and the Tech pack, so proper wide screen sat nav.

The ACC radar on PFL cars is under the numberplate, centre.

No brainer really, but interesting to see none of that is listed on the equipment list. Some of those things can't really be retrofitted, so it could be a clerical error on Audi's part (not unheard of that's for sure!). Have you checked it has all of those things?

Audi can give you a print out of online based service, or you can see it in the MyAudi App when popping the VIN in.

Yeah I used the Vin on myAudi.

the first one defo doesn’t have them options.
The second one has the Tech Pack High - Sat Nav Plus. What does this mean?

Do you have links ? I would be concerned about the partial service history on a 100k + 7 year old car the dealer should be able to provide a printout of the digital history confirming the correct service schedule if they want a sale.....

If it was partially serviced away from Audi, then it makes complete sense, however the missing tech listed doesn't.

My car had 114k on the clock and NO SERVICE history and could not find any at Audi HQ either, I took a risk and it paid off.
I did just have to buy a new rear caliper, but it was fine when I bought it, so no big deal.
It used to be a ex lease, so I imagine it did get serviced at some point.
When I got it, it went straight to my mates and he cleaned everything out and fresh new everything.
He did say the car was looked after as there were some after market OEM stuff which did not come straight from Audi
You take your risks though
My 2014 Sport 2.0 150PS 5dr was 5000.00 in feb, how much do they want for these vehicles?

I found a 2017 facelift 1.5Tfsi Sport Stronic with 74k miles for £7k......no pics. It was from a car supermarket so as soon as I saw it come up I phone right away.....took ages to get through (I emailed in the meantime and direct messaged them) and somebody managed to get around me and reserve it! Absolutely fuming I am!!! Third time that has happened this week!! I give up!

That is an amazing price for a 2017 TFSI
Why dont you try a BMW 1 series or 3 Series or something?
Just make sure its after 2013 as the ones before had the timing chains at the back of the engines and if they need to be replaced its a engine out job.

When I was looking for my Audi, the ones that I was looking at went super fast.
The only reason I got mine was because the dealer was moving premises and he was decent and said he would save it for me until I arrived.

Why are there so many BMW out there, but so little Audi, and when Audi do go up they are super expensive or dog sheds.

You might see that come up at a dealer for a grand more quite soon...

Chavs get hold of them and install fake 'RS3 grills' and remaps :glee:
Nothing wrong with ‘rs3 grilles’! If I had a red one I would install one. I’ve always installed the black honeycombe grilles (minus the rs badges) on my Audi’s as I HATE the chrome grilles! It’s not a bad thing.
The vast majority of A3’s for sale seem to category crashed cars and more often than it, from a certain clientele in West Yorkshire/Birmingham!

I've never had a chrome grill, I only ever buy Black Editions as I hate them too. I dunno, theres something about buying a £40k car, then sticking a £150 worth of Chinese plastic on the front that for me, feels like an injustice. (he says while looking at Replica wheels lol)

Never buy a car from Bradford, thats a rule that should never be broken.

Never buying a car from Bradford has been a thing for at least 15 years! Too many organised crime gangs there dealing in cars!
I know what you mean about putting a cheap grill on a new car. I ordered my new B9 from the factory with the black pack, and for some reason the factory decided to remove that option on my car.....I hated the chrome grill the whole time I had it! Just ruined the look and couldn’t get a good replacement honeycombe one for the B9!

LOL I must be the only 43 year old canadian chav... Or maybe I am a closet Chav Ha Ha

I would not change my grill if it was black, but hate the silver and grey when there is nothing else silver or grey on the car.
I would actually consider a geniune black audi grill if I could find one, but they are like hens teeth.

Yeah @Dubjam You have been looking at repo wheels LOL

It's ridiculous. I realise I am getting way too old. I have two sets of 19" Genuine Audi wheels and have the most amazing suspension available, and still, I cant take the 19" small bump back jarring. So I have to seek the Chinese out for a set of 18" V-spokes. Ridiculous.

What's the prob with your A4? Looks like it has decent spec.

Got rid to make way for a Dodge Challenger. Had the A4 for 4 years so time for a change.
Just after the A3 for a daily until the Challenger turns up. Currently using a big american V8 as my daily which isn’t ideal.

I am the same, I am on 16's right now which are very comfortable, but look stupid on a A3
I have just seen some nice black and gold 18's Wolfrace are releasing next year, they look stunning and will be perfect timing for new rubber as well.

I couldnt go higher than 18's as I have felt 20's and it felt like I was riding on rocks... Well not really but it was very harsh.

Nope! From a well respected car supermarket. Had high miles at 73k but still a bargain
High mileage for year but for a 2017 1.5 tsi they have messed up on the price there.

i was looking at a 66 plate A3 and it had 64k miles i think and it was £12,000 on a main dealer

You have to go to 18's, any less and the 8V looks underwheeled...but yes, they must be so comfy!

The 19's, with the Koni Special Actives are as comfortable as the originals, probably more so in suspension terms, and the handling is absolutely amazing. But with that little bit less rubber, its the real tiny stuff that goes through you which is normally absorbed by the rubber, being that its not something the shocker would pick up, and getting old and a few other things, Im not coping too well with it! Nothing can fix that really other than just more rubber.

I shudder at the thought of 20's!

I love the look of the V-spokes though. But having to go to Reps is upsetting me somewhat.

What wheels are you looking at?

They have only released the picture on instagram so had to take a screenshot.
With the colour scheme I am going for, I think they are going to look nice with the red car.

I think so! It was about £4K below price according to autotrader.

I don’t know whether to go view the second car this weekend. It’s absolutely mint and the owner only did about 2k miles each year for last for years (he’s an older gent). Alloys like new, bodywork prestine and the brown Milano leather looks brand new. Certainly all this in the pics anyway. 4 new tyres, and it had parking system plus, storage pack and tech pack high.
74k miles with FSH for £6500 (3dr 2.0tdi Sport 2013 in brilliant black - not my fav colour!)
Worth it?

Post a photo!

I guess you have to LIKE that interior, or not...

Shame they put brown on the dash, just the brown seaats would have worked better.
Yeah I don’t know why. I have t seen it on other ones and in the brochure it describes the brown leather being on the door cards etc but makes no mention of the dash!
I just don’t know if it will make it harder to sell when the time comes.

It may, but then again, the car is more of a 'plodder' rather than a super desirable, so the clientele that may be looking for similar might be happy with the beige.

Being honest, imo, that dash is a bit vom dude!
