Jumped ship again, this time into a facelift Cupra Ateca. After sitting in the new S3 and realising that I'm getting a bit older, and the back problems becoming more prevalent, I new I had to have an SUV. Now I spec'd up a SQ2 and even a SQ5 but both were stupid money and I wanted to get away from paying the "Highway man" £40k tax.
So I plumped for the Seat (ahem Cupra) Ateca. First impressions are very good, interior quality was better than expected (IMO shows the new S3 up), drive, steering etc are great. Once the weather gets better I'll post some better pics.

I honestly do think the Cupra arm of Seat are making some great cars.

Those seats very comfy.

I can honestly say I thought the 8V SS seats were the nuts but these are sublime.

Very nice mate, do like the look of these and the new Formenta.

What made you move out the X3 so quickly?

When I bought my Edition 30 I had a bad back for a week and thought I'd have to see then realised the lumbar support was digging in my lower back !?

There is quite a bit of personal configuration that can be done on the cockpit etc, I'm really impressed with the car, reminds me of my old 8V 310ps S3 just a little higher :thumbs up:

You tried the Eco Trainer yet? This was my brothers effort in his Cupra Leon.
Perverse and cruel mind games Seat are playing putting that in a 300bhp car lol

I can imagine saying to the Mrs "I'm off out to try and get as much mpg as I can". I know the answer I would get back is "really, get a life" :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

@jassyo06 - Feel your pain buddy
The wife decided she did need another car after the Captur went back
Nothing reasonably priced lease deals she fancied & nothing that any new car manufacturers were offering
So it was cash used private purchase

SWMBO is happy as she has a new to her ride
I'm happy as I've got no monthly payments

PS Those that 'know' know what we got ;):D

To be fair @jassyo06 I like some of the small touches in the car, copper stitching on the door cards, steering wheel, mats and seats. They got rid of 99% of the glossy back and chrome and replaced it with matt greys. In full fat mode it gurgles, farts and pops like my white 8V so well chuffed with that.
