Yes but the point is 'Book' is rarely reality.

Real world ads of real cars is the only true measure of the market.

Absolutely, but not when it comes to insurance settlements :(

What's up next, Ricky?

Well the car will stay off the road until I'm "finished" with it and while i start working on repairing it of course, I've already got a wing, complete bumper, black optics grille, complete slam panel with radiator and fans ect and two headlights the plan is to do a custom wide arch 30-40mm smoothed into the body and finally get the stage 2+ tune put on it with a few other little goodies, goal is to try and make the most out of a bad situation and make it better than it was before so it don't feel like a waste of time and effort.

Sad to hear bud. Insurance value mine at about 4k but they repaired it luckily repair cost was about 3k though. Sucks so bad when your pride and joy is damaged at no fault of your own and like you said mods and time never get put into the equation. Same thing i had looking around the market and nothing for similar money plus putting all the mods back on top. Fingers crossed they pay for a repair if not too bad once stripped. Good luck bud

years ago insurance were messing me around with a value on a Mondeo st-tdci, they kept offering values which i refused, i then said feel free to replace my car with one exactly the same, i.e immaculate, full ford hist etc, they upped the value slightly saying they could see ones for less, i clearly told them i had been to view them and they were ****,

eventually i think they got to around 5250,

i told them the least i would accept was 5750, they did not even respond they just paid up!

At this moment in time I'm losing interest in fighting over £500 (as i would of been happy with £3k) its more the principle but im busy with other stuff at the minute and this is just one thing i cant be bothered with, let alone the paper work i keep getting through the door that i cant be f***ed to read they have literally sacrificed a small forest for my case lol.

Think of it as £500 per hour.

That's what it'll take max to read a couple of letters!
