What is involved to get fully powered seats work in a b7 with standard seats? talking about dtm b7 front seats. My dialy tdi does not have heated seats but i dont need that connected. Just need power to the seats.

Here is pictures of the connectors.

1. pic is the connectors in my tdi where the seats go into

2. is standard seats plugs

3. recaro seats plugs.

So can anyone spread some light on this:)?

I cut and spliced the plugs off my old seats into my new B8 seats so they would fit my car sockets.
I didn't have the green heating one anyway, but if not needed cut it off and tape over the wires.

Needs feed & ground adding, I would personally not cut anything, just add necessary fuse points & wires to existing floorpan plugs, if you need this installed for you, ping me a WhatsApp.

Power feed is the black plug surely?
black one is the same on my normal seats and recaros. Red plug only have 2 on standard and 4 on the recaro. guess one is ground and one is power? but where do i take the power from?

Did you have lumber adjustment?
It would depend what extra functions you have on the Recaros, and do you want those bits to work, as to what extra pins would be needed in your floor sockets.

Old one did no't have lumber adjustment. What i want to work is just the lumber and electric adjustment :) no heating is needed

You will need more wiring adding then.
I didn't have/want electric adjustment so were a straight forward swap.
i need to have it so i can adust the seats and when my gf is driving she can adjust it also. Readed somewhere that i need to make agroudn wire and and positive to rely 30 with a 20amp fuse installed?

I was thinking of putting b8 seats in my B7, as you’ve done it I assume the mounting points are all the same then?

Yup, the fronts bolt straight in, same mounting bolts and holes.
The wiring connectors are different though.
