Bye Bye S3

Certainly a lot more friendly lol:salute:

Nothing wrong with a 300ps Cupra Ateca.
Comments from YKW above aren’t required, reminds me of someone I used to work with 20odd years ago, who was always saying to others “you don’t want to do it like that, do it like this”.

Although I suppose with that user name what would you expect

Glad you Suv caravan types are sticking together. You can compare notes when you sluice your number twos together. Seriously there’s nothing wrong with a diesel for towing, my favourite in our caravan days was an A7 BT 313 bhp beast. However, kids grown up and different circumstances. We all have to do what’s appropriate at the time, but definitely no SUVs for me, if you tow a good A4/A6 Avant every time. If you can’t buy new an Audi warranty is available for 10/11 years. 992 Porsche isn’t for old fogies by the way, I’m still working and hope to for a few more years!

You just need to get a caravan now :)
Knowing my luck...........

Lol
Think I will leave towing a caravan to the experts for now:thumbs up:

Anyone on the forum had any dealings with this garage....
https://www.swanswaygarages.com/
They are situated in Speke near Liverpool.
I have checked on line for my nearest ABTtuning center and the above garage was closest.
ABT tuned Cupra's are available from factory new and are covered by Cupra's warranty hence the interest.

Don’t be daft!

You don’t like a taste of your own medicine then.

It’s exactly a reply you gave me on the other thread where you were again ramming your anti other brands down members throats, a bit like your anti-suv comments on this thread.

i would be careful about that. Tuned cars from factories is one thing. Tuning it after delivery is another especially for warranty purposes even though the same parts are used. I would get it in writing from seat uk or the dealership just in case the engine pops.

Just curious why any A4/A6 avant or indeed an A7 BT 313 bhp, 650NM 'beast' would be a better tow car option than a geriatric SQ5 plus 340 bhp with 700NM?
PS Caravan was my wife's idea - I fancied a new tent!!
PPS retire before 50 - I recommend it :)
PPPS 2 years beer money job delivering everything from Ferraris, Lambos, Bentley, Porsche quickly made me realise that these cars (apart from Macans - I want a GTS) are pretty pointless, you can't use a fraction of the power, the running costs are mental and everyone looks at you like you're a total bellend. After a day in a Lambo my old A4 was bliss.

@RGBARGEE @T-1000 , I don’t really want to see you both having a go at one another at anytime, least of all on someone else’s thread. Why don’t you both put each other on ignore, or better still, swap phone numbers and text or call each other. This continual disagreeing is both tiresome and annoying to other members. So please sort yourselves out.

Absolutely. Apologies but I will not be stalked and bullied which is how this started. I will ignore him. Sadly I thought it was possible to have a bit of banter without getting personal. Well done @Sandra for picking up on concerns.

We had a 52 plate new B7 Cabriolet 3.0 Sport. Towed a twin axle Elddis Tynedale beautifully. I certainly would imagine an SQ5 would make a great tow car, my point being the A4/A6/A7 with appropriate engines all make great tow cars too, when required and other benefits when not. Clearly you are wedded to the whole highly marketed SUV thing which is fine.
Re PPS.. I managed 51!
PPPS.. Horses for course.. For similar reasons to not wanting an SUV I wouldn't want a 'supercar' as a daily driver but buying carefully need not be as expensive as you think. Some can be a money pit but 'Audi/VW' group products, Lambo, Porsche, Bentley can actually be relatively cheap to run but it takes a bit of work sourcing and selling at the right price at the right time.

@pburv Firstly Paul, I’m really sorry your thread has been derailed. You have been an exceptional contributor on the forum. :thumbs up:. For all you valued members on this thread, I have said that if you can’t get along with other members, or agree/disagree then there is an ignore function available to you all. Constant clashes with other members is not going to be tolerated. We are all adults on here, so try to get along or move along. That is my final say on this.

Purely for the looks to be honest plus the benefits of the extra tech that came as standard over the S3.
You forgot the ground clearance for when you go shooting each weekend and the massive space at the back for when you buy something or do a tip run :);)
