Bye Bye S3

No more pcp’s for me mate. Next car will be trade this in and pay the difference and keep for 5 years. Even then if my car use/miles stays the same it will only be on about 20,000 mile!!!

I was out yesterday and saw a white Z4 with the roof down....it did look nice! My car plus £10k gets me in a 2020 pre reg one!

But I feel it’s a bit too ‘look at me’....flash git.

That seems like an amazing price!
About 3 weeks before I got my CLA in June I had to renew my S3 insurance and Admiral were the cheapest for the first time ever. I am 53 with a perfect driving record for 20+ years, post code is rated as second lowest, 6000 limited mileage, garaged, £150 compulsory with £100 voluntary, yet the annual premium was still £377.
When I changed to my CLA 250 I got a £40 refund but for some reason my compulsory excess went up to £350 with no voluntary.

Car insurance is totally baffling to me.

A seen a Banana Yellow version of your car mate..........aye....The Straight Jacket had just been ditched in the back......

Well funnily enough that's the colour I originally wanted when I was looking at the CLA 35. :relaxed:
But then I decided I didn't want to pay that much for the car so went for the next model down which unfortunately wasn't available in yellow.
White it was then.....and no straight jacket required. :D

Easy to look after mate and they do look nice. BTW I contacted them about that Z4 via email asking how much they'd give me for mine, turns out it hasn't done 101 miles...it's a demo currently on 5,000 and they asked me "What monthly payments did you want to pay?"...yet failed to give me a px price. I never even asked for any finance price!!! Told them to forget it as it's advertised as 101 miles and not a demo on 5,000

Good move. Are you going to extend the Audi warranty, if you haven’t already?
Yes mate 100% doing that :) Waiting for the last months that when the best price is given...think for mine it's 'All components cover' under 10k per year
£250 excess = £297.43 I'm only on 8,500 mile so chances are nothing will go wrong...it's just for piece of mind and at less than £1 a day it's worth it.

Looking good mate, do the other club members like it?
There's only a couple of members I go up there with at the moment. Been trying to maintain a small 'bubble'. Haven't had a meeting with club members since the beginning of March..My mate Trev who has an Ateca FR really likes it:icon thumright:
If I remember I will take a pic of the track I have to climb.:racer: and post it up.

Are you in Cheshire?
He's not but I am :p

Just booked my 3rd service in with my indy @ unit20, oil & filter, pollen filter (never did it last year) and brake fluid change, he said £250 max. Just for laughs I tried Audi = £350 for the same thing. He tried to tell me my records show no service done last year and it won't be updated on the 'Digital Service Schedule' unless I go to them!

Strange that as I used the indy last year :D:p:

Funny how white is so popular in Cheshire, plus Vanity Plates. Down here in Somerset they are less popular and considered a bit 'chav' by many.. just wondering why this may be and whether there are any other regional differences apart from talking funny and liking beer all bu99ered up with a head of froth??

So what’s the big attraction with white and Vanity plates. I’m the only one with my number plate and I can remember my initials and definitely don’t want to look an A 1 NOB...

Does a digital service record really matter on an older car? Just keep the receipts should be good enough. You could probably buy a nice leather folder off EBay to keep them in.

From what I gather having a digital service record is only useful to main dealers to keep their records simple..It shouldn't cost the customer any money to get the car service updated..It's the 'indy' garage which decides if it wants to subscribe to the service or not as there is a subscription charge to whichever manufacture the car is?? I personally have an aftermarket service booklet and get my local indy to update the record on line.

looks good in both colours. Diamond cut alloys are a must with rims that size with possibly a 'Daytona grey' paint job behind:thumbs up:

Too flashy!

What they think the GT86 replacement will look like is more subtle:

I think the colour is Titanium... hence the phrase ... 'tit alloys' .. although this car looks a bit like a 'tit BMW' !!

What is it with this bright blue/ Audi Turbo Blue... I love it on a feature wall in my bathroom but not on a car! VW started it in 2014 on the Polo and it seems to be a 'fad' colour now.. If you want to maximise the resale value of your new car I wouldn't recommend it. Very Marmite, very short term..

Not many blue cars where I am, mainly Man United and Liverpool fans around here...a lot of lads in work would never dream of owning a blue car just for that reason. Turn left and you're in Liverpool turn right and you're in Manchester!!! White, silver, grey always do well anywhere.
