Black rings for 8p sportback

Hey folks!

Been playing around with the idea of painting my audi rings and chrome grill surround in matte black as I bought some primer, clear and matte black for the b pillar trim. The chrome on the rings and chrome surround is fading so I want to do something to freshen the front up a bit. Haven't been able to find any other dolphin grey 8p a3s with this done so it would be nice to see if someone else has done this before.

Going to do the b pillar trim today, have to get some plastic primer before I can do anything to the grill.

Thanks for the input, just wish I was decent at photoshop so I could see what it would look like.

If I do the entire grill it would take a little time to scuff all the nooks but would be worth it. Do you think a sanding sponge would be enough to make the primer grip?

Will depend on what grit you go, you only need to take the glossy layer off and give it a key to get the primer to adhere to.

That being said, it depends on how deep your scuffs and nooks are!
