What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

There was gearbox and all sorts but not worth the time to strip.

Plus it’s bad enough having a parts car lying about. I don’t want bits at the house forever.

Spare leather interior, couple boxes of parts and 4 sets of Special Ed. Wheels is more than enough!
Ahhhh I wish I could have had the gearbox, differential, and all the Quattro conversation bits.

It wasn't a Quattro but I'd never had took those off anyway. Not worth the hassle or time. Rather punt the remainder of the car off

This one was one of the best specced S-Lines I found and it achieved what I wanted and more. It returned a lot more than I paid, it saved two other cars and I gained a set of Xenons for my own car

De-carboned my 034 HFC , i was going to gut it by decided to try a good clean first.
It was very sooty both sides of the core quite baked on aswell.
Plan "A" block one end and the 02 sensor port, fill the cat with sodium bicarbonate powder and add some vinegar to start the reaction.
Wow did that shift some soot etc, swapped round and did the other end and even more frothed out the top.
Finished with a blast of cold water and now its having a nice gentle 100f dry out in the sun..lol

will add a pic in a bit, but seems to have cleared a lot of soot from the cat and core.

Interested to see the results. Love a bit of DIY cleaning/restoring!

Not the best of pics but here you go, and its a massive improvement over the way it was, need to recut one of the threads aswell as its a bit poor but easy job.

I doubt it will make any difference to the emission situation but worth doing all the same and best of all, it was free....:yahoo:

Had my aircon serviced last week: only had 149 grammes of gas left... no wonder it struggled to get the temp low inside..
Now fully filled, and nice and cool again :)

No wonder we have rear wiper issues (those that kept them)

Hmm bit of a mess there, had it packed up?
I can never understand the "kill all wipers" delete crew. Rear wipers are there for a reason, to clear windows.
I've only ever had one car that the rear window stayed clean on. That was a SEAT Toledo saloon, and that had a rear raised spoiler that the wind turbulence did the job.

It worked when I wanted it to,the issue was it would also sometimes work when I didn’t want it to and get stuck in the middle and required a prod to return it home

Gave it a quick clean and wax today as it was overdue.

Nice! Wingbacks must be extremely rare in Portugal

Gives me flashbacks to my old B7 in my underground apartment :)

Indeed! Akoya Silver S-Line, it was BLB also but had the Balancing shaft/OilPump modified. Bullet proof bar the EGR getting clogged once.

The way I prefer to remember her :icon thumright:

Looks very nice Scott, S4 owner now, any plans to "enhance " it or just enjoying it as audi intended.:icon thumright:

whatever it is , the wheels need a refurb ...still a cracking car though.:icon thumright:

Is that a s5 sportback. Very nice.

It sure is :)

The wheels are a disgrace, like, it must have taken genuine effort to kerb them so much. However, the price was reasonable, it needs two tyres..... so I feel a wheel swap coming on.

I bagged a nice pair of underseat storage bins on ebay the other day to go in my Avant. Popped them in after work tonight and quite happy with the little extra storage space

Nice. Are they the pull out or fold down type?

Under seat storage is so handy , not masses of room but enough to make the difference.:icon thumright:

Aren't they just need he most fun to fit?
You need universal jointed limbs.

I didn't find them bad tbh, i unbolted the seats and laid them back to gain access. The worse bit was slotting the little spire clips to the seat base! Got there in the end and a nice, staight forward retrofit which is a first for me!

The slide out ones might be simpler to fit then than the tilting cover ones.
I fitted a pair to my B8 ones, but did it before I fitted them in the car.
I now have a pair of half leather S line B7 seats to go in and thankfully the seat boxes are already fitted.
