Im looking to remove centre silencer from my 2001 a4 b6 1.8t and replace with straight pipe has anyone done it and got better sound.

I've deleted both silencers and replaced it with a custom one on 3inch system.
Still got the catt in place tho for now.
It is sounds quieter then I thought it will be as the catt still there.

I think is the same stuff mate,
I've had my made by R-fab locally.
I'm not a good welder myself and this bloke got some talent there....

Manifold plus down pipe will cost me same again.
