First order was in March but they cocked it up so re-ordered early June so about 12weeks order to delivery all being well.
I am chasing my broker for similar and getting v little back - I find Audi to be terrible once you'v made an order and can now only assume there are going to be bad delays. Just wish they would find out and explain why they aren't able to share more information.
But some people do seem to be getting new models through so they must be making some avants?!
I did phone customer services at one point and they were quite helpful, they also have a live chat service, worth a go.
Hey all, new to the forum. Just thought I would update and say I ordered an A4 40 TFSI BE on 29 June and can see I now have a build start date 5th October. This has only appeared over the last few days, does this mean I need to expect Nov Delivery?
Welcome to the forum - a November delivery should be realistic, it seems to only take about a week or two to build then around a month or so to end up at the dealers.
Ordered the same but with Comfort and sound pack and in Quantum grey. Mine was ordered at the end of July. Just hoping it’s delivered before Xmas!
I believe the spec has changed slightly now so it will be a MY2021 build with 204bhp instead of 190

Well I’ve seen the tracker has updated over night - on an order date of 26th June, I’m being told my build week is 18th January 2021, so I’m looking at minimum 7 months from order to delivery. I feel a cancellation coming on!

Just to update you on my A4 Saloon BE S-tronic 190 - Just had a call from the dealer and the car will be delivered to me next Friday.
It took around 2 weeks for the following to be completed by the dealer:
1) PDI
2) Arranging a driver to deliver the car to me.

yes sorry I have comfort and sound too! I’m moving from a Focus to the A4 so looking forward to the uplift in quality. Though I have been impressed with the Focus it’s only a little 1.2 and I’m looking forward to having more performance again.
With the uplift to 204 I think that is only when you are in Dynamic and using the mild hybrid. I think stock power is still 190 unless I’m mistaken. Wireless CarPlay is the addition I’m really hoping for
Christ that is mental! I wouldn’t blame you cancelling. Might be worth seeing if any dealer stock has started coming through?
Nice! I’m changing from a ford also (Mondeo). I’ve loved the Mondeo but will be nice to have something abit more higher market!
I can’t find much on the wireless CarPlay. Does this mean in the arm rest there will be the wireless charging also? Or is it just down to firmware on the MMI which alloys the wireless CarPlay function?

Yeah, I’ve asked about that, and they said we’ll review early September. Apparently the dealer reckons the dates are wrong, as apparently a load of them are saying that. Guess we’ll see, but given the delay I will at least be able to cancel without a fee.
Just had an update on my order my broker.
Audi have said due to the change to RED2 testing on emissions they have been delayed and my order which was mid may, will now be delivered at the start of December. So another delay.
I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for an alternative if i can find a better deal!

Mine is now at the dealer will wait for a 70 reg due to commitments so first week in Sept

Just had the update of 8th Feb Build week. Just contacted broker to see what my options are to cancel the order!
That falls in line with an audi statement thats said at a certain point all orders were for 2021 delivery.
If its a stock car then delivery is sooner.
There was a 4 month solid shut down.

I’ve just checked again and mine has gone from saying ‘build construction from 5th October’ to ‘joined the production line’. So is that better or worse?
Underneath is still says 5th October so I’m a little confused:

Most likely, I had the same response and mine was built before the build date. For info my build date was the last week in July and it was waiting at Emden for a ship then. It is now at the dealer as in the end I decided to get a new reg.
My broker says he’s been told by the dealer not to rely on any of the build dates as they reckon they’ll be adjusted by early September. Might be a ruse to stop me cancelling for a bit, but we’ll see.

so many mixed messages - i was told by my broker it would be delivered in November, but Audi tracker says feb.

8th Feb seems like a common placeholder date. Order mine on 28th July, just got my order number and checked for the first time and it’s 8th Feb.

When I ordered I fully expected to wait around 20 weeks after reading about the delays on here. But this this is pushing it a bit! I’m hoping the Feb 21 date is worst case and our build dates will work their way forwards.
If I’m taking a tiny positive, I can see it’s confirmed as a 204PS car now. When I order I assumed 190PS so that’s quite good.
At the moment we decided to go to one vehicle, so I let my last A4 Avant get collected and waited to place this order due to Covid. Me and wife working at home, kids not going anywhere, etc, so both cars were just sat on the driveway. But wifes car goes back in March, so if this Feb date is true then it’s running it close.

Ordered mine at the end of July (lease car). Was initially told November delivery however I’ve questioned it today and the dealer has said my build date is confirmed and now it’s expected at the dealer by 30th December

Reaching the point where this is meaningless now, unusable, it’s less of a tracker and more of a lucky dip. Changed again for me, ‘Your Car has joined the production line’.

Edit: so looks like mine is going back and forth from saying 5th October start construction to your car has joined the production line. Though it does say at the bottom it could take a month to get all the parts together

They are doing something as my car’s details have now appeared on the screen and in the API data. Also formally states 204PS

Very nice. I was so close to going with the Daytona, gorgeous colour.
In the end I went with white for 2 reasons I think. Firstly, being a black edition I think the white shows off the BE details. Secondly, my 2017 A4 Avant S Line that I've just given back was Mythos Black, so fancied a bit of a change from a dark colour.

My last two cars have been grey and this time I was tempted to go black. But like you say black on black was giving off the wrong vibe for me
