New Shape S3

Only good thing about this new S3 is that the current one will go down in price

...or will it?

To be quite honest I do like the looks from the outside but the interior let's it down.would not swap it for my 19 plate facelift sportback.
Agree with you as I was concerned that 8v will look like 8p, (which still looks decent for its age) after the new shape release.

What is going on with them Side Skirts!:frowning:

Not sure why they've done that - If you order a Vorsprung version (when available) in Mythos Black then they'll match I suppose

I see they are also still only doing black ariels - Did this towards the end of the 8v model - What a way to save a few quid

Those alloys and the small virtual cockpit look nasty :grimacing:

I've not had the virtual cockpit so can't really say - Does it look smaller or is that just the image - It's 10.25 I think - There's a plus option but only if you go up to Edition 1 or Vorsprung Models by the looks of things - Doesn't look like you can upgrade just on the S3

Not sure I particularly like any of the wheels to be honest and if you upgrade to 19" wheels again unless you have the Vorsprung Model (Standard on this) I can't see anywhere to upgrade to Mag Ride

There are definitely 2 options for VC. The small one comes as standard and then the bigger one is an extra.

here are pics of the base virtual cockpit ......

Just specced an S-Line which comes with Standard Virtual Cockpit but no option to increase to the Plus - Edition 1 gets the Plus as standard - Standard on S3 but no option to increase it either - Audi are loving the packs these days

The standard wheels on the new S3 are shocking which is a shame as the standard star wheels on the 8v
have a decent design guess it is Audi trying to make people upgrade and spend more money .

Can't say I'm that impressed with the upgrade options for the wheels though and being 19" no option for Mag Ride unless you get a Vorsprung seems strange

The wheel options aren't the best the trapezoid option was available on the 8v but in 18's
I hope there is more options to come .

Maybe always seems to take a while to get additional wheel options though and when you used to spec 19" it made you put mag ride on but now not an option - find it very strange to be honest

Gotta say Snake but that first picture (Even though its powered down). It looks absolute W~@k. There no style/meaning/reason to it.
It looks a complete mess

I’m sure the upgraded screen will be spot on but yeah the basic one looks very poor.

Lol. Tried to get inside one today at the dealers but they ain't playing ball...Something to do with a bug that's going around?.:whistle2:
It was just a standard S Line. To be fair I thought it was ok....Just ok...
What I really like was the RSQ3 that took pride and place in the showroom. They got rid of an R8 Spyder to make room for it...Really great looking car but it was priced at 67k:wtf:

The cross stitching on the seat base will certainly stop the leather sagging - bit of an extreme way to sort that out though.

No way to say this without coming across as snobbish (not the intent) but is the small VC the same unit from the Seat - with the gauges up each side? Am sure graphics will be different for brand differentiation.

Lol as @jassyo06 says you’ve got the suv hunger now :)

The draw of the RSQ3 is that 5 pot :icon thumright:

Altitude sickness:scared2:
Salesman told me the one in the showroom was between 66-67k He wasn't sure on complete spec but he did say it had almost everything?

Was looking at used RSQ3's but they are holding their money well and I really didn't want to go back to 2014 year cars plus cash on top of my S3. For sure the 5 pot is an attractive proposition.
