Q7 New order Q7 still stuck at Port Of Emdem delay

Hi all, I recently ordered a new stock Q7 Sline back in 4th June, and have been notified by dealer has been stuck awaiting for exit at port of emden since 18th June, it is suppose to arrive end of July as an ETA. However, still nothing and has been stuck at Port Emden for over 5 weeks now! Guessing its due to covid delay and backlogs. Anyone experiencing similar issue with their Q7 or any new/stock. Have also attached my order status via the Audi and the API JSON.

Any advice on how I can track the ships or what vessels Audi uses? Fyi, first time Audi buyer.

Yeah, been there in the past myself. Your car is at the docks with thousands of other cars waiting for a car carrier to arrive. When I last looked, depending on where the supplying dealer is the car will be delivered to either Felixstowe or Immingham. You can torture yourself by tracking the car carriers in and out of port using the Marine Traffic web site. https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:7.165/centery:53.336/zoom:14

Dealer is in Eastbourne.. the Martine traffic looks :/ ... Haha I'm guessing it eventually arrived? How long did yours take? And how long does it take to reach UK once car carriers is shipped?

The MY changes on Audi are about 9 months apart - typically get announced mid year with the 1st deliveries late August/September. I have had many new Audi cars over the years and then 'woke up to the financial stupidity of PCP deals' and have bought 9+ month old cars ever since so don't put myself through the pain of waiting anymore.

39 means on the boat already, probs 10 days to reach UK as other user have said... Can you send a screenshot, mine is still showing 38!! Still at Emden see the screenshot attached for all the status code. When did you order yours?

Good news, seems the car is moving on route to UK with code 39 finally... Not long now Id imagine 2-3 weeks possibly!

Awesome, yours is probably on the same ship as mine in that case! Did you order with sound and comfort pack? The july orders now have auto park assist with c and s pack.. very annoying as I wanted to add that in :/ and it was unavailable as an option. I'll live with the 3D camera I guess.. hope the rest of order goes well for us!! Fingers cross.. which dealer you with? Not sure how you're reg plate will work as yours is 2021 and that doesn't come in until September.

Yes, I have ordered C & S pack. I think my car may be 2021 spec so could have the updated B & O sound and the auto park assist option. I'm not going to lose any sleep if it hasn't got the latest updates though. Does your screenshot show your car as 2020 or 2021 model year? I input my VIN code to the Audi app on my phone and it does seem to show that it has the 2021 updates. Dealer is Audi Crawley. I won't register the car until 1st Sept so it will be on a 70 plate.

Nice that's awesome.. mine is 2020 stock prebuilt to spec already but had a huge contribution from dealer. I'm only keeping it for 3 years so not guna loose sleep over it like you mention haha. Just can't always keep up to date with the latest tech these days in cars. Let me know once yours has landed in UK. Can't wait.. the facelift looks amazing along with the Q7 style dash and air suspension is comfy as hell

10 days seems to be what other audi users have said.. yours was on ship on 25th and still not in UK.. so most likely 10 days id imagine overall with all the docking, customs process and etc :S

My status just changed to arrived in the UK! Wow.. did it went on a speedboat? Exactly 24 hours.. and it arrived in UK, code status is now 40. Seems like it just landed in sheerness under thames highway ship name check your status too

What sort of huge discount? Just looking now and been given a BE 50TDI pricing for a stock car.

If it's 2020 plate then no park assist.. only 2021 plate 70 would have it.. but it'll be 6 months to build if you want factory order. My discount was a huge deposit contribution from dealer, hence lower monthly of around £567 including maintenance a month

The dealer should be able to confirm yours.. also the car needs to have comfort and sound pack with b&o, that should be the give away that it has park assist, rather than parking system plus which is the one I've got on spec list

I'll get it confirmed during the test drive on Saturday. Currently it's looking like the deal has £10.7k off the car which I thought was pretty good. But at £70k list to get anywhere your monthly amounts a deposit of around £14k is needed assuming PCP, but as you mentioned maintenance I assume you are leasing?

Yeups leasing.. 5k deposit and they contribute 3k, PCP doesn't work too gd for me as I don't want to own a car after 3 years warranty runs out. Listing price was around 63k with comfort and sound, s line metallic.

Select car leasing.. offers are mainly on stock models as they need to sell them quickly, feel free to take a look been leasing 6 years now. Only headache is when you return it and there's scratches and etc you may need to pay for it if it's beyond usual wear and tear not sure if the same on PCP if you give it back

Just saw my order tracker my q7 finally arrived, if you're going for stock make sure it's in country otherwise expect 3 months wait :/ mine was at port since June 3rd to ship from Germany! And it was stock waiting to be shipped at port. How did the test drive go?

The cars in question are in UK stock cars.
Test drive went well, test drove the X5 and Q7 then the missus test drove an A1 so looks like and expensive month.
X5 is better handling and prefer the iDrive over the Q7 touch screen. Q7 felt faster and was an easier cruiser.

Yea I agree.. if comfort then go for Audi, otherwise X5 for the drive. I need a decent 3 row so had to go for Q7 in the end for the lil ones. X5 3 row was unusable at all

I ordered my Q7 on the 19th Aug. Stuck at order status 10 so far for a month with a build date currently to start 9th November. It has already been changed from the 16th Nov. Is it likely to change again and come forward? I am impatient, and could really do with the car at the moment, but the specs were important for me. Thanks in advance.

I was stuck at order status for a good while and then suddenly it jumped to your car is built and in quality control. The car arrived in the UK mid August and was registered 1st Sept. 3 months from original order to arrival in the UK. It is 2021 model and I am really pleased with it.

Thanks for your input - At present I am looking at 4 months - I am not sure whether the tracker will just jump - I know it is sad, but I do check it daily, but sometimes that is just depressing -

It has come forward a week - really hope that it will just jump and confirm soon for a build date that is earlier.

What spec did you get? I went for the S-Line 45 with C+S, Tour and City Packs,
