Hazard lights on, on start-up

Hi all
Just recently on my 2002 s3 8l the hazard warning lights are coming on, on start-up now and again
I have scanned for any fault codes and nothing!!
Any ideas?! i thought if it was the hazard switch, would that not give me a fault code?
I think I read somewhere it could be the battery on it's way out?!
Any advice will be appreciated, thanks

I'll get the battery checked, although it's starting up fine, not sluggish to start and over night it starts no problem in the morning with no issues
I'll check under the sub woofer later to see if i can feel damp anywhere but alarm is all working fine, hazard lights work when i press the button, indicators work fine too, very odd!!!

If its alarm related there will be faulty codes in alarm/central convenience or central locking (can't recall the exact module)

It could also be the hazard light switch itself as these are know to go faulty

the switch isn't a module... so no fault retention capability

ahh, i see, well if battery ok in the morning i'll go buy a new switch, they not that expense and easy to change
