Hi Guys,

I have a facelift (2017) A3 E-Tron Sportback.
Lowered it a couple of months ago with Eibach Pro springs.
Liked the looks (because stock the E-Tron sits verrrrrrry high!), liked the behavior on flat roads, but didn't like the behavior on potholes/speedbumps/etc. The o.e.m. shocks couldn't handle it (while only 40.000km/25000miles on them) I guess.
So back to stock...

Considered a B12 kit (Bilstein B8 shocks with Eibach Pro springs), for example forummember @jrumball has a good experience with them, but I want to control the height, so I can find my perfect ride height versus look behavior....

Problem is the high axle loads (E-Tron, so heavy batteries):
Front: 1070kg
Rear: 1050kg

KW, Eibach, Bilstein, etc. don't make a proper set for the E-Tron.
Only set available is the KW V3, but this is to expensive for me...

Looking at the axle loads, I found that for example that a ST X or XA for the Audi S3 8v Sportback is front: 1100kg and rear 1080kg, so this looks like a 'match'.

But doe coilovers/shocks/springs from the Quattro platform fit the (fwd) E-Tron?

Or any other suggestions?

I want a good coilover kit so badly... It would be my perfect match in combination with my other plans: 19" wheels and stage 1 tuning (~285bhp & ~480nm torque!)

I might buy an S3 springs and shockers they are at least approved

But would S3 (quattro) shocks & springs fit on my A3 E-Tron (fwd)?
(so basically the same question as in my start post...)
Yeeah all is the same I guess..
You just need to try it.. Car chassis remain same 8V so..

Some a3 fwd have dependent rear suspension rather than independent suspension so I would check before buying anything.
I would think if Kw could sell you a set for s3 they would have done so. There could be enough difference between them that they don’t fit

My E-Tron has multilink independant rear suspension...
I'm so curious if S3 shocks and springs would fit (axle loads are roughly te same).

I have quattro A3, same as S3 so on these cars all round is all same

Any forummember who can give me an answer?

And as an addition to the main question:
'If' I place coilovers with lower maximum axle loads, like for example a KW V1 kit for the Golf 7 GTI (also fwd and 55mm), in specs I see: Front 1090kg and Rear 1010kg max (and like mentioned, my E-Tron says Front 1070kg and rear 1050kg), would this affect handling?

PLEAAAASE Help me find a decent lowering kit for my A3 E-Tron (preferably coilovers, so ïm in control of the ride-heights-versus-comfort)

What a stupid answer @Peter82...
Who decides to do or don't do 'tuning' on EV's?!
A 'proper' S3? I have a more than proper E-Tron...

Please answer with relevant info or don't answer at all...
But reading other topics, it looks like you give 'irrelevant' reactions more often....
Moderator @AudiNutta already warned you...

@ moderator, indeed, back on topic:

I have found a pattern in the ordernumbers of the KW brand.
Based on this pattern you can discover which versions are V1, V2 and V3.
On the basis of this I traced back which V1 and V2 models are suitable for my E-tron (because the ordernumber of the V3 coilovers is known).
This logic also applies to sister brands ST and AP.

Because of this I discovered which sets I can buy / which sets fit / which sets match in terms of axle loads.

There appears to be plenty of choice. I can now also go to Bilstein, because I now know exactly with which VAG vehicles the A3 E-tron matches.

I think I choose Bilstein B14 or B16. These seem to provide more comfort than KW.

The B16 coilover has 10 hardness settings. Does anyone know what hardness the B14, which has a fixed value, is comparable to? (for example setting 1? Or setting 5?).
Can the B16 be set even softer than the B14?
