Another problem with my S3. Bonnet undertray came off and damaged the wheel arch. I,very been driving with loose undertray for a week before I could get an appointment and Audi response was that I have ripped it off by driving over a puddle or a stick. £326 to fix. I am fuming here as was not expecting that from Audi.

Should this be covered by warranty?

not a chance in hell to be honest . that would be like reversing into a wall and asking audi to cover it under warranty. No part has failed , damage has been caused by whatever reason whilst you were in charge of the vehicle . end of story .

You had a service recently as may not of been fitted correctly?

If you stop the video around 23 seconds you can see the under tray is scuffed. I can't see how that could happen without coming into contact with a foreign object.

I scooped up a duck once in the lower valance of my Golf. Smashed the grill and shat up my radiator, It must been mid take off as its head was hanging out of the hole in the grill.

Get the bits from a scrapped car. Fix it yourself.

Vauxhall dealer removed and binned the lower engine cover off my van when it was in for a service then denied all knowledge although there was a big clean cover shape. £550 to replace.

Got nowhere so had to get one off fleabay. Evans halshaw - shower of crooks.

Just get tray from freakin ebay or fb marketplace or gumtree don't even go ti that fkin ripoff place.. £300od for tray??
Are tehy *******?

Blimey pal your not having much luck with your S3 are you
Mate don't even start, 2 months of ownership the whole car was vandalised, 8 months ownership gearbox replaced, 9 months ownership full exhaust system replaced and now to top it up the blooming undertray. And that is 18 months old car. Just because of that no more Audis for me.

I had a gearbox replaced 6 months ago and I think they did not fit it properly then
Jeez man feel sorry for you, they probably didn't fit it back 100%, but it's proving it! I can't see how it's come away with normal use, standing under the car and looking up/forward it looks like it locates into slots, then pushes forward into those slots and is then held in place by screws holding it up, so how can it slide backwards and drop down if it's been fitted correctly???

I'd contact an indy and tell them what you've been told and let them look at it, they are quoting you £221 for a wheel arch cover just so they have something to screw/clip the underbody into? An indy may be able to come up with a way of fixing/securing it without replacing everything! or know of a cheaper place to get the parts required.
How often does that need to be removed anyway, on oil services don't they just suck the old oil up via the dipstick and the filter is at the top of the engine?

sorry to here about the s3 bud , audi are complete ripp of merchants, your better off sourcing the parts via ebay and fitting them your self you'll save £100's of pound. they wanted to charge me £100 just for a diagnostic!!!!! i now have my own vcd plug in and it costs nothing. they think were all made of money mate, hope you get sorted bud.

I totally get why you feel that why pal and wouldn't blame you if you didn't buy an Audi again .

Mine is 18 month old in September and luckily for me I've only had the creaky seat touch wood .

The undertray was fitted properly, you can see in the video where it's been smashed off it's mount points leaving some of the plastic still held in place by the 3 rear M8 bolts and it's damaged the side mounting points if these have not been place then the undertray would have long since disappeared down the road. Looking at the scuff mark something has hit undertray, so you won't have any chance with warranty.

New arch liner is around £36 and a new undertray is around £60. it's a simple enough DIY job, or any garage will fit for a small charge.
