Next Gen 2021 Audi A3 Sedan Debut

So expensive! How much is an A4 in comparison?
Looks alright.

I looked at those pictures over and over and I still see blue :D

That's the place you went last year isn't it? Gutted that holidays have been messed up this year, our June holiday was cancelled :( what makes it worse is we got it for a great price. One night mid November I checked the price and it had dropped by £1,000 I phoned them up to check it was correct, she was shocked as well, she checked with her manager and came back with "That's the price if you book it now" so I booked it there and then....the next day it went back up by £1,000 and stayed up!
To be fair when they canceled it they were spot on, sent us an email saying it had been cancelled: option 1) Move the holiday to a different date, 2) Credit note, 3) Wait for us to contact you. So we waited, a week later we got a call asking what we wanted to do, "Refund please" two days later money was back with me....I'll 100% book with Jet2 again just because of that. We'd normally be away next week and then again mid-late September, but with the way things are we're not going to risk it. I'm 50 next year so hopefully things will be better, so just use the saved money and do the Maldives or something special for that.

As you say used sales and prices are on the up. I had mine on Wizzle, a guy phoned me and offered £18,150 I said no straight away, he said how much to sell it then? He caught me off guard a bit so I just said £19,500 and I'll think about it...the next morning he phoned me back and offered £19,500! said it was for Sytner Audi but they wanted it within 14 days. It was just a shame I couldn't get anything in time that I like and for a decent price.

I also received a letter from work last Friday, we had been due to go back in September, but now we go back on the 17th August as they need 'Our quality built cars' that part made me smile :) as they are selling all the stock that they have! It's going to kill me after 5 months off!

Oh don't like the alloys or the price for a 1.5 s-line https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/new/202007221540257?

Yes mate exact same place..its the 4th holiday l have booked since November...and if it gets cancelled "unlikely " but still possible...I'll forget a holiday this...year...had enough of this virus pantomime....just like 99% of the population...I paid the full amount...a month ago...£4500 so...if cancelled it's going towards my next car deposit..anyway Audi interior full stop....tis the way....lol Seat is aimed at the younger gen....Audi is aiming for folks who know better lol

Going back to work after all that forced time off will take more effort for the first 3 weeks

Looking at the Golf 8 inside and out and l have got to disagree with you mate.....roles have been reversed the Audi is the sporty looking one this time around and the Golf is basically a mess inside and out.....Far too much high gloss black plastic around the 8's cockpit binnacle and the climate controls are even worse looking...using touch sensitive sliding controls

The Audi A3 aint perfect either....having exterior paint showing internally around the A pillars Blasthemy.....in a Audi....Cheaper plastic in the rear doors.......build quality diminishes but prices keep increasing....such is life......now

If it’s Turkey you’re going to you ‘should’ be ok ... but nothing is certain atm is it !

We had a states trip cancelled in May and no idea when we’ll get the flight money back from Virgin which they’ve had since July last year. Got a full deposit refund from the hotel.

Our trip to the Canaries we’ve shifted to next year ‘foc’ so at least we’re not out of pocket.

Updating a few things on the house now which we’ve been putting off.

I think we’re all missing holidays this year so good luck if you do manage to get away, once you get to resort and are all self contained it should be fine & being a high grade hotel the safety standards should be reassuringly high.

From what I’ve seen you can really see how heavily related the brands are now, it’s not a criticism.

Agree on the Golf, it’s a strange design but does look a lot better in GTI spec.

Some of the Skodas and the new Leon looks quite smart.

We are not even bothering trying go abroad this year it's just too much hassle .

The wife as put the money we got back from the holiday to good use with a new sofa new composite front door new carpet though out the house
and so on :coldsweat: at least its done now :grinning:

Yeah it's hard handing over hard earned cash for something you know you may not be getting! I had to pay the rest of ours off in May knowing the world was in a right state, I'd already paid £1,000 off it early in the year so it was a case of if we cancel I'd lose that £1,000 if they cancel we get it all back, so had to pay the rest. Then you have the worry of if the holiday is still on you either go and make the most of it or cancel and lose all your money, TBH we were glad they canceled it in the end. Luckily a quick refund followed!

If they do cancel yours and you have a yearly travel insurance policy, just phone them up and they will refund you that on a pro rata basis. Ours ran from Feb-Feb, I lost about £15 :icon thumright: But yeah totally fed up of all this c-19, work all year looking forward to your holidays and that's been messed right up, couldn't even see the reds lift the cup last week :( but as you say the saved money goes to either another car or more holiday next year...further away and for longer! :)

Not looking forward to the return at all, be dead on my feet by 12.00 :p Just hope I lose the stone I've put on!!!

Other tablets, and better ones, are available of course. But then the same can be said for around 90% of all cars if they design the interiors correctly. The screen needs to be high enough so you don't move your eyes too far from the road infront so manufacturer's don't have much choice. Besides many accused the A3 & A4 of similar but I am just waiting for the day when they properly ban the use of touchscreens whilst the car is moving..

I personally wish Audi would of kept the centre console dial instead of the touch screens
can see a lot of accidents happening because of the touch screens .

I have just started back this Monday.Been off since 19th of March. Only in for a week and the works closes for two weeks summer break...Go figure? ha ha......

Deffo Audi interior over Seat...I've had plenty of both makes and hands down Audi have better built interiors and materials.. Having said that Seat are very generous with providing tech as standard.

Most folks can see right through governments now as far as this "thing" is concerned Spain was off then on and the virus radar within a week...and unfairly so.and the CEO of TUI....has told them The Government he'll do what they think is safe to do from now on...it's 5 weeks til l go......can't wait....

Besides.....................S3 Saloon 2021 as one has to.....keep the Envy....levels up with ones neighbours lol

I use to hate jumping from my Audi into the wife's Seat and noticing how horrible and skinny the Seat wheel felt compared to the Audi wheel. Also cabin noise in the seat was noticeably higher.
