My wife has just picked up a 2018 1.4TFSI Q2.

I've just had a look at the folder in the glove box and unlike my A4 and her old A1 where the info was comprehensive, the info in the Q2 folder consists of ; An owners' handbook - and that's all.

There's no
Warranty book.
No Roadside assistance handbook.
No book showing service schedules/requirements (I realise service history is digital)
No list of Audi dealerships etc...

Is that how they leave the factory now or has this car's info been lost?
I suspect that all of the above may be available online somewhere to download but it's nice to have the info to hand in the glovebox when something breaks down, at night, in the rain, in a mobile dead zone.

Thanks.

My 2018 SQ5 had the handbook and nothing else. All the info you describe is in the myAudi App these days. I think it’s called progress...

Hi Sqirrelly,

I took delivery of a new Q3 in March 2020, as with your observations I too have none of the above mentioned literature. I reckon the only piece of essential info is the Roadside Assistance number, 0800 699 999, all other stuff I believe can be accessed through the Owner's Area. I'm quite OK without the storing the admin clutter.

Thanks all, I suspected this to be the case.

If by "owners' area" you mean the area where you can book services and view the car's service history I'm not looking forward to that.
I've never managed to get it to function correctly for my A4, It logs me in ok but won't let me see detail as it requires me to contact the dealership to wave their magic wand at the screen. After several calls to them I gave up with it.

My 2018 Q2 came with all manuals like my 2014 A3. Nothing missing. I usually make a contact in my iPhone with current dealer and Audi Assist numbers when I get it. This saves me going through manuals and apps when needed.

myAudi works fine for me, can see all future & past services, download maps, send destinations to the car etc.... the issue you had with your A4 could be because it’s a 2013 model? Not many features on it can be used in myAudi or the app. Having said this, the Q2 is 1 generation behind the new Q2 and A3 só there isn’t much functionality there either! But you should be able to see services ok.
