When does the 2021MY start production?

Hey, I've an A4 Avant S-Line on order, placed at the start of May. With lockdown and factories slowly resuming, I was wondering if anyone knows when Audi swaps production to the next model year?

Mine is in the system as order accepted by Audi.

I'm hoping with the delays and production slowly starting I may get a 2021MY build despite ordering the 2020MY.

Hi, there is new car tracking thread open where I have given details of my A4 S-line order from April 2020.

I have also emailed the dealer this morning asking if my A4 will be MY2020 or MY2021 as I have a build week of 13 July 2020.

I will update you on what the dealer says.

I have had an update from Audi this morning. They said that it seems my order will be changed to a MY2021, and because of this there could be a slight impact on production.

No other details until end of June. I hope this was somewhat helpful.

That would sort of work with me. My order was on the 5th May. I've an A5 Sportback S-Line due back in July, extended by VWFS until January. But I will need x4 new tyres (Continental ContiSport 5 have to be the softest rubber I've driven on, almost worn to the line after 8k miles); plus a two year service. But happy to get a 2021MY with a few exta possible tweaks - and cheaper monthlies.

Yep, factory closed until 3rd week of this month. 150PS 35 engines will get a 165 PS 35 engine. If you opt for grey or beige seats, you will now get a colour matched dashboard on 2021MY cars

Anyone know the full scope of what is included on MY21 A4’s? I see this when you search the net: https://www.automoblog.net/2020/05/08/audi-2021-model-lineup/. Not sure if this reflects UK cars?

Ordered the last week of April, still no build week. But I also ordered an A5 Sportback on a silly low price PCH deal which has already arrived at the dealer. waiting for VWFS to sort the cherished plate paperwork to transfer it to the new A5

You only mentioned the 35 engine had increased power. I was looking to see what else in the range has changed both engine wise and extras now as standard. Interested to see if the 40tfsi will get the 13ps increase + Quattro as well as any other interior changes.

Aside from the 35 engine (which changes due to an improved MHEV system); if you option beige or grey seats you will now get matching carpets and dashboard in that colour .

Headrests are now to be part synthetic leather.

Flat bottom steering wheel is no longer standard on Vorsprung models.

That's the lot. Not as extensive as the US market that gains heated front-end rear seats as standard and a heated steering wheel. But then the US market cars are not as well spec'd as standard compared to UK equivalents

It’s a pity that non Vorsprung models can’t be speced with heated rear seats. Do you know if the 40 tfsi engine does get an additional 13ps + Quattro?

sounds like we were in a similar situation - grabbed a great deal on A4 BE in May, and have seen the excellent deals on A5's this last few weeks.
Both are factory orders though so could be similar lead times

not sure but look forward to it. I'm wondering the black edtion will be called that anymore as the other models are all now Edition1, with different wheels etc?
