I used to love my local. It was a great place, i made good friends, a place where i felt safe and great memories.
It died when the no smoking ban came in. Various peaple tried to keep it going and after time, it eventually became a house for a large family. The Gardeners Arms was no more.
Now as the pubs are opening again tomorrow it sorta makes me wonder, especially with whats going on around us, how safe is this?, as we are being told so much by so many experts about the situ we are currently in and none seem to have the info to actually back it up.
Chatted with a girl down in Chesterfield today and she was in awe that she could go out and have a beer with her mates again, and how it was the best thing ever. I didn't really agree 100% as i thought staying safe and healthy was prob a better idea then a 1 night bender. maybe im getting old
I guess the whole point to this thread was revolving around a comment by BoJo in respect to the current problem;
Boris Johnson told this evening's Downing Street press conference that the public must "enjoy summer safely" as the economy “is dependent on every single one of us acting responsibly”.
i see one thing in that,and its not about us surviving a potentially as a race, but the 'economy' being more important.
anyways, sod it.
200 miles to run in fun times!!!!
