Just picked my rs3 up at the weekend and only just discovered that the eco mode on the aircon isn’t working. Strange one, anyone got any ideas? It’s a bit far to be heading 4hrs back down the county.

My A3 only goes into Eco when i select Efficiency in the drive select, seeing as the rs3 doesnt have an efficiency mode is it meant to have an Eco AC Mode? Hopefully someone here with an RS3 can confirm if this is the case or if im being stupid lol

You'd think if the manual says it there would be a way of doing it, is it an 8v RS?
Yep, 2016. Usually just press the auto button, and it lowers the fan speed, but nothing’s happening.
If the Auto button isnt doing anything then something may be a miss, I would recommend posting in the dedicated rs3 8v thread too as they will likely have more of an insight as the RS works different with no eco.
Hard to say without a VCDS scan. Could be a fault. Noticed recently there is an update for the AC unit from v130 to v161. Doubt Audi will do it unless this is confirmed to fix any faults you’re having with the car, but an indie dealer should be able to do it for you if they have ODIS.
My v2 cable arrived yesterday, so I had an afternoon of poking around. Turns out the eco profile wasn’t enabled in the HVAC. Made the coding, locked the car for a min, got back in and it’s all working. Strange why it wasn’t enabled, somebody poking around that didn’t know what they were doing maybe? Who knows.

Not sure, nobody seemed interested in getting involved. Anyway, mine was missing, had it on my 8v S3. I’ve coded it now as above, fans are quieter now.
Had a 2016 RS3 from new and there’s no eco setting on the AC, or anywhere in the RS3 for that matter.
Yeah there’s definitely no economy profile in the ADS, and rightly so
. . But why no eco on the HVAC.
