Been having an issue where I get a judder when braking

I had rear brake pads and disc done last month hoping it would solve the issue but it hasn’t.

I did have performance discs and pads put on 2017 on the front. Done 30k miles since then.

Am I correct in thinking the performance discs are less likely to get warped as they are able to deal with heat better?
Only other thing I can think of is my front calliper seized up and disc got quite hot- got it changed quickly but could have warped my disc in the process? Or is it more likely uneven pad wear?

Following your overheating Of Callipers/ discs/ pads, any of them may be distorted, just a case of changing parts until the judder goes away.

I have an extra pair of discs I could put on. Is it advisable to try them without changing pads? Could it work? Or better to do discs and pads together?

Hi you could change the front discs without the pads. It’ll take longer for them to bed in and it’ll feel abit spongy for a bit but it would be ok to test the judder. What sort of speed are you getting your judder at? Is it under harsh or soft braking? Also are the discs genuine? If not what brand are they?

Sorry for the question bomb just trying to get a feel for the problem

I get the judder at any speed but it’s much more noticeable when breaking at higher speeds.

they are EBC vented performance breaks discs and red stuff EBC pads from eurocar parts- they are good quality brakes.

No worries personally I’d try swapping the discs and see if that improves it. But before you do that give the wheels a quick spin and check for buckles.

Feel for temperature delta between left and right wheels with aggressive braking, it will help you find the binding caliper if there is an offending one

Slowly turning the wheel will help confirm that too if ones tighter than the other etc
