I have purchased a car that has just been built (I am told specifically it was built week 12 - just before Covid-19). It is apparently sat in Germany waiting to be shipped here to the UK.

Is there any way I can track this order? I am not confident the dealer is being honest and would like to track it myself. Can I ask for a code or something from the dealer?

Cheers

He doesn't want to tell you the price! :search::shrug::p I'd go £28k

Well he never actually asked the price, he made a comment about the price but didn’t ask :haha:. I was also walking around Ikea when typing the response.

tbf if you are really that interested you could price one up yourself :whistle2:. But you’d be correct in about 28k.

suppose it’s no more than someone buying a S3 for example so not really sure why the price matters lol

the car is a manual

I think it was because you are probably the first to get one...just generated interest ;) Enjoy the new car.

Really? That surprises me. Tbf I contacted the dealer and they found a car for me that was in Germany. My only stipulation was S-Line in Daytona Grey. I still don’t get it. The heated seats you can’t buy separately in the UK, but it’s a Germany spec car built for the UK (I think).

This is the only one I could find in the UK, looks like different wheels than the ones you can choose on the Audi website https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/new/202006120066132?

the wheels on mine can only be configurated on the German Audi website. I think that car is my exact spec apart from the paint.
To be fair it looks nice. I didn't pay much attention when it was announced, as I said I wouldn't buy another Audi because they have been useless (sales people not the car). I was due to downsize to an ST3, but they can't get me one in time! so the way things have worked out it's looking like I'll be leasing either a TT or an A4 black edition! Unless something else pops up.

Both come in around £350 on a lease including tax, tyres, servicing and general maintenance, 24 months and 10,000 mile per year.

I couldn't care less how much you paid for the car that is your business .

My comment was based on it being a brand new model and nothing else .

I think you have got the wrong end of the stick mate. I know you didn’t ask, but the other guy said I didn’t want to tell you, but I simply said you didn’t ask. That’s all sorted now anyway.

I wouldn’t have any problems telling you how much the car is worth.

I tried configuring that model myself and could only get to an on the road price of £26150. :readit:
I would be very curious to know what(if anything) I have missed from the spec which adds over £9k to the price.....so there's a challenge for everybody. :D
lol even at £26k, I bought the S3 at the end of 2014 for £28k new.

35,000 for a A1 LOL
I would not even pay that for a new A3

I would probably buy a ex demo ex reg S3 for that price.

Whehey, congrats on your new car order!

Dealer should be able to give you the order code to view its status, providing it’s not already on someone’s yourAudi.

I’m waiting for my leasing company to get back to me with my code to track my new car being built! Haven’t got anywhere near as many options as you but I’m excited!

It's scary the rate Audi prices are going up .
Not looking forward to seeing the prices of the new S3 either that will be expensive .

Considering an A3 technik (or whtever it is) is around £40k I think its fair to assume the S3 will easily hit £50k or higher which really is madness.
That would mean the new RS3 will be £60k +
I'm not convinced people are gonna have appetites for prices like that, more so considering the dismal economy outlook - although that in itself may force prices down.

Look at the new golf prices. I specced a 1.5 eTSI up on the Configurator and got it to 37k with some decent options.
The IPhone / Android entry ‘Digital’ thing is £210 option

Crikey  I haven't looked at the Golf but that is silly money for a 1.5TSI.
Let's see if they manage to shift any cars at these prices or if we start to see big discounts or price reductions.

Best discount yet for the new A3 was 8-5% from Coast2Coast Cars....even the new A1 models are at similar discount levels, but APR is lower though from Audi on new and used think it was 5-2% on used
