A6/S6/Allroad (C8 Chassis) Picture Thread

Hello all! Just picked up a used A6 Avant Sline with no packs. I love it so far, big upgrade from my Tiguan.
The audio system seems pretty weak. Has anyone tried upgrading it? Thanks

Well wear with your new motor, i an surprised you find the Audi system weak. i find it excellent and much better that the Audi system in the my previous A6 C7.
I agree Sean, I was pleasantly surprised how good it is over the old C7. I've had a couple of decent home hifi set ups (Arcam / B&W) over the years so know what to listen for.
Maybe your system hasn't been on much? New speakers always need "running in" until they reach their best.

Yeah maybe, have changed the Bass/Treble at all? I'll give that a go and see if it makes a difference. My wife is picking up a Q2 with the Bang & Olufsen stereo this weekend. So I'm likely just jealous of that :)

My C7 audio was way better than the C8. It at least had settings for the sub. The new one was a let down for me.

Hello everyone, I'm new in here, but some good news. I guess I'll be the new "kid" on the block, once you all have been enjoying your cars.
I should be taking delivery of mine in 4-5 weeks. Can't wait!
The speck is MY20 A6 Avant 40TDI Black Edition Daytona Grey with Tech Pack, Comfort Sound and full leather seats. missed the storage pack, silly me! my son will definitely complain about the cup holder.

Hi everyone,
Got some pictures of my new toy! with few changes from description above, due to dealer place wrong order "Sedan instead of Avant".
So they had to find a replacement matching my original order.
I ended up getting Floret Silver instead of Daytona Grey; extra Sunroof; some discount on the bill and extra gadgets, but without leather seat, which I am ok with the alcantara seats.
And here it is my new baby.

Looks fantastic, jealous of the roof, bet you cant wait for the summer! Big mistake by the dealer, ordering the wrong one though.

It’s interesting that the dealer made a mistake on ordering yours, as I had the same too.

I ordered Black Leather, had to compromise on the surprise that was Grey Alcantara on delivery. Was told if I didn’t accept it would take 16-20 weeks to replace. Luckily it has grown on me but it’s a pain to keep clean with my kids, and I’m only 2.5 weeks in.

By the way, looks good in Floret Silver.

Floret with the black styling trim of the black edition looks fantastic. It is a very underrated colour in my view. Looks fantastic!

My C8 BE the morning it arrived, it was filthy 5 mins later

Very nice and a great colour. Fingers crossed you dont get a dodgy tailgate or dashboard rattles.

Lucky you guys to be able to get your car with HD Matrix, now this option doesn't exist, only in the top spec Audi A6 Vorsprung ;-(

I wonder what the cost to retrofit them would be.

I don’t think I could go back to having non Matrix lights now.

Panic not gents!

There are two versions of the Matrix LED lights: the “standard” Matrix LED and the HD Matrix LED. It is the HD version that is only available with Vorsprung trim and the standard is available with other models. Haven’t tried the HD myself so can’t make a comparison, but I am very happy with the standard ones.

Standard ones are brilliant, fun to watch how the beam changes according to the road.

The standard ones do as well.

The video below shows the standard Matrix lights in action on my car:

wondering apart from the design and dynamic front indicator what the HD matrix have or they do extra compared with the standard matrix?!?!

I have HD matrix and I have no idea what the difference is. The dealer couldn’t really explain it either

IIRC the difference was the quantity of individual LED diodes in the cluster. The higher the number, the more “HD” and variable and precise the light output pattern can be. Think about it in terms of number of pixels on a telly screen.

Almost 9 months into ownership, I gave the car a good handwash and polish with Autoglym Super Resin Polish - it is cleaner and shinier than when I collected it from the dealership as the car was sitting outside in the rain during collection.

Very nice mate. Still never seen a new A6 in red so I think you made a great colour choice.

Cheers Simon.

I saw a red C7 a few weeks ago - we smiled at each other. Also not too long ago I drove past two fellas chatting at the side of the road in front of their red A5 and heads turned as I drove past and smiles exchanged again. I guess we are a rare breed.

So I know quite a few members have recently taken deliveries of new cars or purchased a used one, but where are the pics? :whip:

On that note kind reminder to cover up the reg plate to not get your car cloned through the images you post. :icon thumright:

Hi, picked up new Allroad on Friday - 45 Tdi + tech in Mythos. Early days, but happy so far - no hesitation pulling away or rattles).

Replaces C7 Allroad (prior to that A3 170 BE and C5 Allroad Tdi 180 ). Must be a glutton for punishment as they’ve all been black!)
