As the title, anybody got one on here?
I had consigned myself to keeping my S4 as the PCP has finished. I’ve toyed with the idea of getting an SQ5 a few times over the years.
Had a drive in a TDI back in February and really liked it.
Appreciate there’s a Q5 minor improvement due later this year but guessing that will follow the A4/5 with bigger touch screen.
I have a good option on a car already in Germany awaiting shipping, right colour & 16.5% discount so very tempted.

Was hoping for some feedback good or bad on newer Diesel SQ5??

cheers

I had a petrol SQ5, really nice car, very refined, pretty quick. I'd say it was more refined motorway hauler than sports saloon on stilts. If I wanted a more sporty SUV, I'd definitely look at the X3M40i.

If I didnt want a SUV, I'd look at the M340i....

The SQ5 followed an A6 3,0TDi for me, but Audi have lost my business for now with their switch to diesels and the love of touchscreens.... so you wont be surprised to learn following those recommendations above that I am in a BMW now (but neither of those, went 5 series instead)....

I have a 2018 SQ5 petrol TFSI happy to answer any questions you have on the SQ5.

Personally I’m not a fan of the touch screen that the updated Q5 might get (we also have a 2020 A4 with the touch infotainment screen). Much prefer the current touchpad setup.

Thanks all, I was hoping for some feedback on the new TDi SQ5.

@X3man i have looked, looked at loads of cars. But I’ve had an SUV itch for years on and off and think it’s time to scratch it.

Same here, had an SUV itch for some time and decided to itch that scratch 8 months ago with an SQ5.

Came from a 440i grancoupe.

I had an itch to have a SUV too... I kept it 2 years and went back to a normal car... I think with kids and such the height helps for getting them in car seats etc but they dont drive as well as a good saloon or tourer, and the boot isnt as practical as a tourer...

But I get the need to scratch the itch...

Fair enough, I have had a couple Q5’s. Very good SUV, and was contemplating SQ5 (new one) but comparing against current X3 M40i, that worked for me, but a cracking motor definitely worth a drive, and certainly going to be loaded if Vorsprung Edition
