Who makes S3 suspension components

Does anybody know what brand the Genuine OEM springs and shocks are from Audi?
I'm going to replace mine and I've been quoted £350. I'm ok with the price, but if I can identify who makes the parts and supplies them to Audi, I'm sure I can save a few quid.

I'm not interested in lowering kits or aftermarket parts, I only want to identify the OEM parts manufacturers.

will most likely be sachs.

easiest way to double check (assuming you dont have the original shocks you changed out anymore) is to check which pr code you have for the suspension on the boot/service book sticker, then cross reference with etka to find the part number, then google or ebay the part number looking at the stickers on used shocks and itll say the oem on them.

problem you might find is that the oem might not produce aftermarket parts for the s3. eg. if you look at the sachs catalogue youll find only standard and sport models listed. no s3 or sline springs or shocks, although if i remember correctly, sport shocks are the same on s3s and sline models, its the springs that differ.

I'll try the ETKA method as I have been provided with the OEM part number, but can only cross reference it to 3rd party shocks and springs which is what got me in this expensive situation to begin with.

springs, i cant say ive seen any aftermarket for the s3 or sline, so was a bit suprised when i read your thread saying that a garage ordered them from the uk.
what i found when i replaced my front 2 springs on my a3 sport was that most regular motor factors (large independents and places like gsf and eurocarparts) only stocked the regular SE model springs. so how they managed to get s3 rear springs aftermarket, from a motor factors, i find odd. especially as a massive company like sachs dont even list s3 or sline springs as available.

what was the part number you were provided out of interest. was that from the mechanics?

No, i need to clarify.
The part numbers for the shocks were sourced months ago and i ordered a complete kit (shocks/bump stops/top mounts) that were listed as compatible on Ebay and confirmed by the seller. Listed as German parts with 2 years warranty, so i figured they might even be genuine non-branded items.
Months later when the weather was good enough to fit them we discovered both coils had broken, so a call to a local independent parts supplier with the OEM part number and registration came with a match on the springs i ended up buying (Can't remember the brand, will have to hunt for the invoice).
Visually everything looked identical and fitted perfectly, but sadly the car no longer drives as it should, hence the requirement for OEM kit which my mechanic is now sourcing for me from a Vag parts dealer that he uses.

I’m not sure but I think it might be Monroe I know they make a lot of the electronically controlled ones
