Audi S3 service plan 20% off offer

Hi guys Audi are currently offering 20% discount on service plans. My 2019 s3 with 4000 miles is £374 for two services with this discount. Would you say this is a good deal?. How much is the typical cost of the first and second service on an S3?

Think a lot of this has been discussed on my other post but put it simply it’s a bargain!
I got quoted close to £400 for inspection so £374 for inspection and interim oil change is cheap, well at least for dealer prices.

I thought service plans excluded S/RS models? Or is it engine sizes over 3.0 and RS models now...as I type that it does ring a bell.

Regardless the deal is very good, seeing as my first service for the S3 was quoted at £400+

They now include S models under 2.0l. Which as far as I know is only the s3 and s1.

quite confusing really as it states £374 for 2.0 ltr and under.but includes s models under 2.0 ltr so technically the s3 would be excluded as not under 2.0 ltr. also for vehicles over 3 years old all s models excluded
 
Ok I know 1984cc but still termed as 2.0 ltr engine so i would definitely double check this before purchasing .
 
Something I don’t understand is why the cost for a car more than 3 years old is more than that for the same model less than 3 years old. I would have expected Audi to offer a better price for older cars in order to retain customers and discourage them from turning to independents. Other manufacturers do this. Thinking that it might just be a mistake, I queried it with Audi Customer Services, and the chap I spoke to agreed that a discount would be logical. However he said the pricing was passed down from Audi Germany, and they had no say in it. Baffling.
 
did notice that spark plugs and fuel filter are included in the older car plan price but will never be required for the newer cars so will cost them slightly less

If you go to the Audi website and put in your reg your car comes up with service plan options. Last year when I tried this the s3 didn’t have any plans available as it was a s/rs car whereas this time round it picked up the car was an s3 and showed the £374 plan was available for my car. I managed to purchase it Online then later got the email saying there was an issue and they cancelled it. Spoke with dealer and they confirmed the plan was available and they managed to get it for me.

As you clearly state, it is under 2 litre(2000cc) so is absolutely definitely covered. :innocent:
It is just simple rounding......
For example if the capacity was 1949 then the engine would be classed as a 1.9 litre. but from 1950 to 2049 it is classed as a 2 litre. :)

P.S. The offer runs until 31st July 2020 so plenty of time for people to think about it and take advantage of it.

Doesn't include S or RS models - how are you all getting it for an S3?

Obviously my R3 is exempt but surely the S3 is ok
 
i tried it for my 2015 S3 and doesnt generate anything, message comes up to contact a local audi centre!

Oh yes it does include S models.....but only if they are under 2000cc/3 years old. :)

You couldn’t pay me to have it serviced at Audi.
Incompetent to say the least.

Check your bank balance as I bought this service plan for my S3 online and got the same email saying there was an issue and it was cancelled but the payment still went through .
 
Seems like im getting the error message when trying to purchase the service plan online too when this morning i got no error message

Says 5 days for refund. Will keep an eye on it after that. Main thing was dealer managed to buy it with success and cars booked in for middle July.

I bought mine Monday and it got serviced yesterday was happy has the car had already gone 1k over due service .

Error message for less than 3 year old S3 here too.

Trust the indie more than Audi anyway.

Perhaps I’m sceptical but I’m sure they would make the extra money back from you quickly through ‘necessary’ work found off the back of service.

Has to be 2.0l or lower and excludes RS, R8 E-tron etc - S3 is ok as I purchased it for mine last year

Still a joke though really as if over 3 years old - £199 for Oil Change - same oil and filter!!! - mind you I was quoted £350 plus for Oil Change and didn't want to ask what it would be for inspection and pollen filter so the 2 year plan at £19.50 per month is still a saving

20% discount is even better though

Agree with you there, i found they are terrible even on the basics.

The thing is I’d love to be able to trust them, price for me isn’t the issue, it’s what I’m not getting that concerned me.

When my car was with local Audi dealer for last service the only issue reported back by the “technician” was that my car was missing its TMS. When I queried this with the service agent he told me that the TMS is the tyre sealant kit supplied with cars which don”t have a spare wheel. But my car DOES have a spare wheel as standard. Makes one more than a little concerned about technician observation skills and/or the thoroughness of the checking.

To be fair some dealers I’ve dealt with have been good. Remember I had an issue with one of my old cars and they stayed open waiting with a courtesy car till I got there.
It’s no different to indys, some are really good and some rip you off rotten. Key is finding a place you can trust whether they are a dealer or an indy.
Other part is for a car under 3 years old it’s easier to argue warranty claim if a dealer serviced it rather than an indy especially if something expensive goes pop like a gearbox/engine.

Looks like Audi have withdrawn the 20% off service pack offer despite the deadline being documented as 31st July on the Audi.co.uk website. I have emailed customer services to find out if they can still honour it!. Quite disappointing they chose to do this. Clearly more people than anticipated signed up!

This is why I bought it straight away in fear of this happening
 
Oh *** . Was supposed to call them on Friday. Looks like they have put the prices up too from the last 2 years ago.

I was planning on using the offer too but was disappointed it was no longer available!

By coincidence Mercedes are also running a £20% discount on service plans.....started on 1st July and runs until 30 September.
Mercedes are quite a bit more expensive for servicing than Audi unfortunately and my 2 services would have been £720 at full price, but got it for £576 with the 20% discount.
Thought I better buy it sooner rather than later. ;)

lol £720 they are having a laugh. Porsche are cheaper than that.

That is a surprise......but I totally agree with your point. :)
Comparing with my S3 which is the same engine size as my CLA but 80bhp more powerful with AWD, the S3 would be on average £100 + cheaper for 2 services.

Mate of mine was going to buy a used Maserati last year, he could afford the car but not the servicing lol.
