Good job, the rebuild and the video.
Hellof a lot of work that rebuild even that slight graze though. Is it financially viable?

Peugeots, I would give them scrapyard space. Years ago I had a Partner van. One frosty winter morning I slid into a hedge, bending the front subframe in the process. And I thought vans were supposed to be more robust than the cars.

Good amount effort there mate, hats of to you sir.

Out of interest what are you doing with the old wheels?

Good job, nice to see how well the A4 B8 held up in a frontal impact. That Peugeot won't be seeing the road again. Having the video will possibly prove useful when you come to sell the car. Never bought a previously written off car (not knowingly anyway) always good to see what it actually looked like before it was fixed.

At the cost of this rebuild it may have been cheaper just to buy a new car. Great work though.

Pie-eyedpiper I could of repaired it for around £2000 with second hand panels etc back to how it was before the accident . But as I have no plan of selling it I thought I do a facelift conversion which most genuine used panels on eBay where damaged for example a facelift bonnet with a crease was around £250 which would need repairing and filler which can’t stand lots of filler luckily I’m friends with the parts manager at my local Audi dealer so did better prices than TPS which is a result

desertstorm thanks Karl and the car did a very very good job keeping me , my partner and son safe . I’ve been buying repairing and selling damaged cars from salvage auctions like copart for a few years now . I nearly lost my Audi as the insurance said I could buy it back at the beginning of the claim. And when they rang me a couple weeks later to discuss the settlement price . they said I couldn’t so I said check your recorded phonecalls then they rang me half hour later saying yes you can buy it back lol. And still no plans on selling it will be a keeper as when I last spoke to you about brakes I have new macan calipers , discs and ds2500 pads in the loft and sq5 rears calipers and ds2500 pads and more goodies.

The Jargen thank you and for how much I bought it back for I still don’t think I could replace it for what it now stands me at . I know it’s now a category N car but I already buy, repair and sell salvage cars so may aswell have one aswell

As we know lockdown happened in March luckily for myself . I ordered all main parts from Audi to repair the car a week before lockdown for example all the body parts , brackets bolts and rad hoses . Then dash kit of eBay . new Wagner cooler from turbozentrum . radiator, condenser and Aux belt kit , crank pulley of autodoc . So I did all the main work which you saw on the video through lockdown .then last Monday my friend who’s the parts manager at Audi rang me stating the parts department is open again .So I quickly ordered the last parts I needed . As I’ve done a facelift conversion I fitted the competition plus bumper. which was a 1 year production in 2015 for the end of the 8k platform. I’ve also not seen anyone do the conversion with that bumper . I’ve gone full works on the car every bolt I have removed I have replaced with genuine new . Crazy I know haha and here’s the last bits to finish the car which all go on after paint

Impressive work, well done. Bet you got a shock on parts prices, unless you can get discount. The B8 xenon headlights are £700+ each.

I’ve somehow never seen that style of front bumper before and it’s surprising because it looks so good!

Thank you bud. You’ll be so glad to get yours back and with the added difference, with bumper as it’s very different from Facelift S-Line bumper

Thanks Ryan and I hadn’t seen one either until I started looking what was needed for the conversion

Got me thinking now! I’m planning a front end repaint on mine to tidy it up so may have to go for 1 of these instead!

How much was it if you don’t mind me asking?

Sorry for late reply to do the conversion you will need a competition plus bumper new from Audi retail price is £472 plus vat or you can get a good condition used for £200-300 but the bumper will come bare .

8K0 807 513 A Y9B - spoiler in gloss black £99.01 plus vat (retail price)

8K0 807 083 A - wheel housing left adapter £3.06 plus vat (retail price )

8K0 807 084 A - wheel housing right adapter £3.06 plus vat (retail price )

8K0 807 681 Q 01C - left fog light grill £108.71 plus vat (retail price )

8K0 807 245 - left cover £9.55 plus vat (retail price)

How much trouble did you have lining the wings up with the headlights? I seem to have about a 8-10mm gap between the wing and the headlight.

I bought a later rad mount but the mounting spacings are exactly the same so no point changing it.

Hi simon luckily I didn’t have any issue have you adjusted the front panel and crash bar to try and get the gaps perfect and have your headlights still got the rubber seals around the edges where the wings curve around the headlights

Well she’s back .. finally came back from paint on Saturday and finished building it yesterday and went for mot today no advisory’s. Didn’t tell the tester it’s been written off then I’ve repaired it to see if he can tell and once he went fully Over it and came back from road test to check the brakes as Quattro he didn’t say a thing . So I asked how’s the car and he replied all good so I told him and he couldn’t Believe that was the car

The car looks great Nathan! From your photos, the paintwork looks spot on. Interested to see how the mirror modification goes for you, might consider it for my car soon.

looks great!

what do you mean about adjusting the crashbar to help the headlight fit?

Wow looks brillaint.

I am watching your carbon mirrors as I may add them to mine. Look forward to seeing them fitted.

Thank you Nitro_CR I’m really chuffed with the paint as white can be a pain to match was worth the 3 week wait and I’ll post pictures tomorrow fitted them today

Car is looking spot on now it's all finished! Love the mirrors and indicators. I'd put the S-Line badges back on if it was my car but personal preference. The competition front bumper looks great too, bodyshop has done a wonderful job!

Mate great work, I wish I could have been involved. I would have learnt so much. Surprised you didn’t go for the rs4 grill which I would have thought would match the fog light grills but that’s the beauty of modding and different tastes
