Not much to do today, so the badges have come off already. Now time to work into sweat since cleaning glue from the car is a pain in the ***.

Got back from r-tech earlier, long list of stuff done:
Haldex service
Walnut blast
Injector clean
New thermostat
Rear o2 sensor
Rev G dv
Sump clean
Oil pickup pipe
Oil & filter
O ring for intercooler pipe

Fuel filter was supposed to be changed but they didn’t want to break the clips so going to call tomorrow and ask where we go from there?

Car feels so much better, sounds and feels smoother, been told to take it easy so will do that for a few days and work it up to the redline :)

Hard to say with pure honesty how the walnut blast has changed it cause I’m not mechanically minded enough, but the difference is so clear to me, miles better, not even upset at how much I paid lol

Definitely go for it

Fitted Eibach Pro-Kit front springs yesterday, should’ve done it in the first place when I replaced a broken one on the passenger side a couple of months ago but I needed the car up and running quickly so it had to be Euro’s. Also, I fitted the top mounts correctly this time! (I didn’t notice the little arrows before haha).

Looks much better, are you going to replace the trears with fresh oem or just leave them?

Changed the headlight bulbs but to do this you have to take the bumper off so thought I'd change the grill at the same time as the old one had a crack in it. Front end of the car looks a lot better now.

Meant to be getting the car ready for sale. Problem is now it looks so good I'm in two minds about selling !

It does sit much better, I’m really happy with the result and it feels the same as OEM which is what I wanted.....we’ll have to wait and see how long my splitter lasts haha. I’ve no plans to change the rears yet. I saw a post somewhere about the arrows on the top mounts and it was bugging me because I had no idea if I’d put mine on correctly so they had to come out again in any case.

They come off a TTS 8S if I remember correctly.

Unfortunately I don't have any side on photos but they really do suit the car. I will try and take some as soon as possible.

They are like the ones in the link below. You can get them cheaper just have to keep your eyes peeled for a good set.

Yeah the front on these really does sit a bit high, doubt it’ll be long if your roads are as bad as mine .
I didn’t know if you’d do the read purely based on how old they are now, I’d assume they’re sagging after being under tension for 10 years?
I want to change/upgrade mine but deciding what to go for is a nightmare

I really like these, I had the Eibach Sprortlines on an A4 and with 235/35/19 tyres they certainly rattled your fillings. I nearly had to stop for speed bumps but this doesn’t seem to be the case with the Pro-Kit. I believe you can buy them with Bilstein dampers as a kit, something to consider if you’re doing a complete overhaul??

Yeah I was very tempted before Xmas when the kit was on sale but I can’t just bring myself change the front springs and not do the rears, and all shocks aswell...

Ahhhh Christmas bargains, I spent nearly 2 grand on mine in December

Finally completed my center console facelift project!!!...or maybe not! Looks like fl cc unit AC indeed doesn't work properly on prefl models as I read on ASN, so I gotta work on the chrome knobs swap!!

Finished of US spec centre console with 8V wireless charger, signal booster, cup holder lighting and moved 12V to the boot as per oem.
Also fitted TTRS 8S wheel with all associated wiring - drive select operating the S button. Currently away for paint and then to be rebuilt.

Jay hows your head unit, are you happy with it and what is it

Sent from my SM-N976B using Tapatalk

It gets a lot of bad reviews but that’s because people don’t buy the impedance converters to get rid of any unwanted interference. It’s hands down a game changer above the dated RNSE units. Xtrons is the head unit. Wireless carplay with Apple devices and wired with android.

I believe so.
I'm not so sure about that. For God's sake, even A3 facelift units don't work with pre-07 models. I know for sure Q3 one does need programming but I don't know if it works with the AC system an older A3 has. Anyways, it's a pretty neat unit, but I'm more keen on the chrome element and the bold red font! :)

Full service
Dropped off at garage for MOT and Cambelt water pump change and had two wheels refurbed. Painted the dust shields as they were rusted to hell whilst I had the wheels off

Doing no more. Spent enough on it. Just need to get the small triangles in the doors changed as they have bubbles. Car is then Mint. Not bad for an 8 year old

My little window triangles have bubbles too but they're not cheap to replace. I was thinking about rubbing them down and 3M gloss wrapping them

Has anyone got a S3 with a plate stuck on the side of the bumper? (Ideally white with black honeycomb grille)Wanting to see what it looks like before I waste time and money on trying it, all pictures appreciated
