Bought this car from a friend for WELL under KBB, knowing the drivers (left side) power seat didn't work and the soft top could only be raised/lowered manually.
1) The floor obviously saw water as the electric contacts on the floor are corroded. Pull the carpet and change out the module?
2) What is the electronic component that controls the soft top? The top goes up and down fine, manually, but no power... I found a central comfort module in the trunk that also has corroded contacts. Is that something I need to find and replace?

Thanks...

Any corroded contacts need to be cleaned up, & you may be lucky. Water ingress into any of the modules is not good so there's a very high likelyhood that the modules will be dead. Also check the drain plugs in the Plenum chamber under the battery for water as they are notorious for getting clogged up & causing chaos to the electrics.

There are Plenty of helpful youtube videos on A4 hood faults . First step would be too check the continuity with a multimeter & then connect up a diagnostic OBDll reader then at least you would know where to go from there with the fault code ...

1st step is to resolve the water leakage then resolve the corroded contacts & modules damaged.

If you need this doing for you ping me a WhatsApp to discuss further.

I pulled out the pump and took it to an electrician for checking (it was OK), then filled the fluid reservoir in accordance with the guide.

Roof is still not operating, so it might be the switch? I should have checked the current
