PFL Mods

Seems good! I have agreed £140 with him! That’s a good price don’t you think.
If they are in good and working order then yer, is within what people normally pay for these clusters used.

Could anyone advise me on whether it would be worth my while having the two small middle resonators cut out on my sports exhaust? I already have secondary decats and a valve controller. It is loud but it just seems daft to me having them there now.

The main reason for those twin resonators is to eliminate drone.
If you remove them I’d imagine the noise in the cabin would be terrible and spoil what is a superb system.

Yeah true say. Could possibly be very droney, it does sound awesome as it is. Currently have the sports exhaust with secondary decats and the cete valve controller. I’m just wanting more cracks and pops on overrun/downgearing, upshifting etc

When I had my PFL with sports exhaust, I actually found that fitting the decats totally spoiled the sound!
Pops and bangs were much reduced and I found the exhaust lost it’s lovely tone from standard.
Nobody else seems to report this but I tried a couple of different sets of decats and always reverted back to standard.
Depends how the cars being used and driven I suppose.
We’re all different

When I first had mine secondary decatted I thought it was too loud. But then I got used to it and liked it. Pops and bags were louder than ever so interesting to hear yours weren’t.

Just try them. If it’s too loud for you then it’s an easy job to switch back.

Bearing in mind he’s talking about cutting out the 2 centre resonators here!
Apologies, thought he was just on about the secondary decats!

Has anyone tried these semi dynamic light modules for the rear lights on the pfl? A guy is selling some on the classifieds and I’m tempted to give them a go for now.

Just had the 11mm forge spacers fitted to the car. Gives it a much more aggressive stance and sits real nice. I am slowly contemplating springs aswell but they so expensive! Expensive to buy, fit and then you have to have the mag ride recalibrated.

Where can the calibration be done and how much on average does it cost?

You really are a **** aren’t you.

I love how you say everything is expensive .

It’s an RS model get used to it.

You aren’t going to be able to do everything on the cheap, which how you come across, wanting to pay peanuts for everything you want to do.

I just ordered the same 11mm spacers and my car is lowered with eibach pro kit.
No mag ride.
I hope It will be oké with 4 pers. In the car

What drop are those springs mate? I only want a very subtle drop if I’m even going to do it. The only thing that I’m unsure about is where I can have the mag ride recalibrated?

The drop is 10 mm and that’s enough for me .. But with the drop it nerds a little more stance in my opinion... i hope it’s not to much for a daily car with a few times 4 adults and luggages in the car.
When it rubbing than I will remove the spacers.

Where did you get them from pal and how much did you pay?

Fitted these, ill upload a video later. There obviously not as good as the newer lights but they look pretty good and for the money i cant complain.

One thing i would say is if you get them dont watch 99% of the videos for removing the tail light on YouTube for the 8v . They tell you to remove the plastic trim on the inside the lights.

in the boot take off the covers left and right and there is a bolt with a plastic rectangular piece on the end. Unscrew that and the tail light comes out.

I can recalibrate your mag ride system when you pop down for your rear lights.

Edit:

and here is why you should do it:

https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threa...ts-suspension-and-magride-information.378303/

Oh, and I have a full MSS Track Kit for sale, done approx 3k miles.
Where else can calibrate mag ride too? A bit more local to me, say I didn’t come down to you.

Oh I wouldn’t do it without having it calibrated, no way. How much do you want for the springs and what drop is it on those?

Yeah got to have spacers if you drop it down though! Spacers on mag ride with the 11mms are bang on to be honest, so the 10mm drop that you have would be perfect for me I think. Maybe 10-15mm.

Yeah they’re cheap enough aren’t they chap. I’ve been looking for facelift lights though and I’m very tempted to do it. I’ve found a set for a decent price too. Been contemplating just going for these aswell though.

Is it easy enough to do then mate? Do you have any videos?

Nice one for the video chap. Where did you get the wing mirror modules from? Do you have a link please?

Not sure how to share the link from Amazon here is the screen shot
