Hi All

Had Heko deflectors waiting to be fitted to the Skoda VRS and the A3 (2016 FL 8v sportback).

Finally got round to fitting them today.

The Skoda ones fitted very easily and look good.

On to the A3 and although the deflectors seem to fit, they need clips to hold them in position properly and securely. The problem I have is that the bit that the windows go into at the top of the door is very narrow and the clips are far to big to go in.

Has anyone managed to get these to fit or are there other clips available for them?

Cheers

Dave

Did you manage to get the clips in?

They were far too big on mine. Just wouldn't go in at all.

So the only way is to fit them with double sided tape?

i have them on the front windows only without clips... no issues

I had the genuine Audi ones fitted, no problem with fitment. Only ones I would consider to be honest.

Double sided tape won't last the right size clips will , especially when you add a few more .

The clips do go in, have them on mineAnd used them for years. I just used a large flat crew driver to push them up as it’s far easier and get them right in.

I experienced fouling , 2 extra clips cured .

I didn't realise Audi did them too.

I will have another look after work but from what I remember, the top of the door frame has rubber at the outside and a big rubber seal at the inside edge. There is very little space between them and the window slides between them. The supplied metal clips (same size as ones supplied for Skoda) are far too wide to get into the groove.

Thanks for the responses folks. They are much appreciated.

Theres no way clips will fit. You can see from the picture at the top right corner the tiny gap the window fits into.

Theres also the rubber pad on the inside. The clip I tried just started cutting into and damaging it.

The heko kit part number is 10247.

Has anyone used the Climair variants . I have had them on a couple of previous cars and had no issues . Heko were always a problematic fit on my Mk2 Focus ST hence the switch to Climair
