Retrimed steering wheel

Well my inquiry went in this morning. Looking at going up there to get them to do the removal / refit work. I used @-Ju- picture as a reference for what I'm after. With the current UK situation I'm not sure on timings. Got some leather knee pads that I'm I'm enquiring about too. See if I can get them in Alcantara with red stitching.

I got them from a member on here. Had them laying about for a while. Haven't plucked up the courage to pry off my originals yet. Very permanent when it done. Apparently a lot of cracking and the like on removal.

Nope.
It's the shape that makes the optical illusion. Wheel is also thicker than oem one

Complete custom made.
Flat bottom made and all thickened with thumb grips and leather+alcantara+red stitching.

Thought it looked really different to mine, mine seems smaller, shorter and the flat bottom seems longer

I think it looks good, but maybe just a little odd without the round airbag which the flat bottoms have.

It comes as a blank carcass. My switch gear and airbag fit to it.

Nice looking wheel.
It does look much better with round airbag.

I'm getting used to holding mine.
So far been driving it less than a hand full of times but those thumbs grips are really good.

Wheel is a bit slippery atm and hope it is due to brand new materials.
Always liked the wheel to just slide on the bottom of my palm, when turning it one hand.
Now my hand just slips off so either use both hands (safer) or thumb grips.

Also, thicker feel in your palm have to grow on me more.

No, I keep my original carcus and my airbag and switch gear go in the new one.

Well it's on, and it's even better looking in the flesh fitted. Well chuffed. Just wondering if anyone knows if I could use a spray sealer like you use on shoes to waterproof them. Example of what I'm on about below. To seal the red stitching from staining.

Use some Gyeon Q2 Leather coat. It'll protect the leather and do the stitching as well.

It's the exact same S3 carcus with more girth all round, with more accentuated curves.
