Mines getting done today. There’s an MOT centre just round the corner from me. I wiped down all contact points in the car and then keys as I passed them over.

Will be doing the same when I pick up the car later.

Mine runs out end of May so till then, it should all clear up.

Good garages use seat covers so you can request them on your test.
You can wrap steering wheel in a cling film and same on gear knob.
I would do that.

Wiping points of contact might be difficult as they have to test various points like seatbelts, seats ect.
You would have a lot of wiping. Might as well wash the car inside and out.

Thinking of it now, it should be required by government for MOT station to do so. Lol
I wouldn't want it done by them.

Generally you get a pack that comes with floor mat, seat cover, steering wheel protect, gear knob and handbrake covers, garages would be kind of stupid not to use them anyway as its protecting your car, let alone at this current situation.

think its handy mine was due in April, rather have an MOT renewal in the summer
