Well, we have had the Black/Black/Black Q3 Sportback 'daily driver' for 19 days and 400 miles now and as requested here are our initial thoughts.
As the latest addition to our fleet we started off feeling rather cheated by Audi HQ offering an additional £750 on top of any other offers and then being told we could not have it. Despite an initial bad experience with a CRM the Boss Daniel is sorting it apparently. The morale being keep calm and factual and non aggressive but do not give in.
The car..
The exterior finish is very good and the black rings on black look stunning but where are the exhaust pipes and pops and bangs, after an S3 it is very tame but actually performs quite well. Fuel economy is not great and have yet to achieve 30mpg. My RS4 is more economical but as we know Audis tend to loosen up and get better. Not sure why rear door handles do not lock the car with Advanced Key? Is it me??
The interior finish looks great and very tactile.. I don't like the position of the interior door handles (too high) and some of the lower trim is quite plasticky. Seat comfort is excellent as is the technology but I am not a fan of touchscreen in place of the superb MMI in my 2019 RS4.
So... I'm probably in the 7 or 8 out of 10 group so far. Happy to answer any questions. RG
