Well, we have had the Black/Black/Black Q3 Sportback 'daily driver' for 19 days and 400 miles now and as requested here are our initial thoughts.
As the latest addition to our fleet we started off feeling rather cheated by Audi HQ offering an additional £750 on top of any other offers and then being told we could not have it. Despite an initial bad experience with a CRM the Boss Daniel is sorting it apparently. The morale being keep calm and factual and non aggressive but do not give in.
The car..
The exterior finish is very good and the black rings on black look stunning but where are the exhaust pipes and pops and bangs, after an S3 it is very tame but actually performs quite well. Fuel economy is not great and have yet to achieve 30mpg. My RS4 is more economical but as we know Audis tend to loosen up and get better. Not sure why rear door handles do not lock the car with Advanced Key? Is it me??
The interior finish looks great and very tactile.. I don't like the position of the interior door handles (too high) and some of the lower trim is quite plasticky. Seat comfort is excellent as is the technology but I am not a fan of touchscreen in place of the superb MMI in my 2019 RS4.
So... I'm probably in the 7 or 8 out of 10 group so far. Happy to answer any questions. RG

I was thinking of jumping to a standard Q3 45 TFSI at some point too. How is the ride on the 20 inch wheels? Also how does the performance and handling compare to the S3?

The handing is ok but no mag ride, quite soft really. The performance is ok but no pops and bangs.
Quite enjoying it really.

How you finding the Q3 interior - looks like it will be very similar to the new A3 yeah ?

You still enjoying the RS4 I take it.

Hi there, Yes the S3 went just before the new models were announced. £29,500 . The Q3 is OK actually, new missus likes SUV's so sold her crappy Fiat 500X and my DD S3 and bought Q3 SB and a 2009 TT for fun (was looking at A2 but dealer came up with a TT PX as per signature) .
Still loving the RS4 experience.. but for now not a lot going on.... I have a brand new PZero 235 19 for S/RS looking for a good home!
How are things with you? PM if easier.

After owning my RS3 for 4 years I finally chopped it in and moved to the dark side lol :)
I picked this up a few weeks ago (just before lock down so only had it since early March but loving it.
I'd been attracted to the new A Class for quite some time but always resisted going to see one in case I liked it.
Finally caved in and was amazed how it was a polar oposite to the last A Class. It was fab and I instantly loved it.
The looks, the cabin quality was superb ... just ticks in all the boxes like my RS3 really.
I also fell lucky as the Dealer had an order coming through to my exact spec. So test drive to collection was 3 weeks lol.
