Just had a reply from crewepartsaudi ref x4 replacement wheel badges/caps for my 2016 RS6.......£39.00 each or £156.00 for the 4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!. Not having a pop at Crewe Audi but that is taking the ****. Bit of time & effort put into the current ones i think. No way are they worth that for a bit of plastic & wire.

80k RS6, £40 wheel caps, makes complete sense.

................really!!!!!!!!!!!!!£156.00 for x4 pieces of plastic is a rip off. They will only cost a couple of quid each to make if that. ''Yes'' £80,000+ when new but i didn't pay close to that as a used car. Point is for x4 pieces of plastic it's a rip off.

With respect, it's not just a guy pouring heated plastic into a mould, there's a huge amount more involved in creating even the most simple parts, furthermore it's not just making the part, there's many other aspects to you actually receiving the part from Audi.

As said, eBay £4, problem solved.

Yip and you get what you pay for. I ha e replaced the X5s twice in the year as I refuse BMWs costs.

Problem also is that “RS” parts are not as massed produced, unlike the parts on the standard model range. So you will always pay more as the tooling to produce these parts is high and they have limited production runs. They also what to stop joe public buy the parts and using them on non RS models, as if the parts were the same price as the standard parts people would just buy the RS version (if it fitted).

Couldn't agree more.

...........i understand that owning & running an Audi RS model is never cheap & fully appreciate the engineering that they put into the models, BUT come on the wheel cap/badges are really worth £156.00 for 4 with forum discount !!!!!!!!!!!! sorry i don't agree.
