Hi all,

just thought I’d share my new addition today in my car.

I believe these can be fit to any car that has keyless entry.

it was fitted by @Aoon up in Glasgow at infinit performance. Can’t vouch for this guys workmanship enough, lovely bloke.

Looks great! Change the logo at the bottom asap tho ;)

And btw it's a TTRS steering wheel and not from the R8, hence the RS logo.

That just looks stunning. A great wheel that transforms the inside of the car. Now you’ve got me thinking!!

Did you get the wheel supplied, fitted & programmed? Wouldn’t mind to hear what the cost was....pm if you like.

Edit: just seen your post in the RS3 section. £1500 is steep, but I can see as to why it cost so much.

the wheel itself was £660, airbag £240, retrim £180. RS badge £30. Then the fitting is £500. But you’re paying for the knowledge really, it’s about a 3h fitting job. But there’s only him in the UK who can do it. So at the end of the day, once you sell the wheel, it’s costing you £500.

I approached them before I visited Aoon. I wasn’t very confident in their response.

With regards to the R8 MFSW upgrade, I looked into this a while back and the guys that are doing it online are not doing a great job of the wiring through the slip ring so I wasn't something I was prepared to take further.
However if there is a better solution online which you have seen, please forward me the link and I'll take a look at it for you.

If it can be done a better way then previosuly seen, then we can assist with this, as a rough estimate the labour will be an hourly rate at £75 + VAT per hour and could take anywhere from 3-5 hours”

I thought alix on here was the first person to be able to do this retro fit.
Someone had this done by him a few years back on there heavily modified rs3, along with the virtual dash added, may be wrong though of course

Without going into your secrets of your business, but is it a straight swap or is there coding needed on top?
There is a lot of works needed and that's all I am prepared to say.

Thanks @DJAlix. Totally agree for you to say no more....it’s your livelihood after all. Out of curiosity, my query is relation to standard TT/TTS wheel, not the RS version - does it still need lots of work to for get the standard wheel to work?

Is the wheel you are looking at fitting one with extra start / stop and Drive mode buttons?
