I've recently bought an A4 Avant which I like very very much but it's not mint and I would like to expel these culprits from my daily experience. Before I give it to the dealer I wanted to hear your opinion.

First one is the coming from the interior light area in the left(driver) doors:

Creaking/Squeaking noise from door cards with interior lighting package that is present whenever a slightest pressure is exerted on the shown area.
It happens when exiting the vehicle or resting your elbow on the doors. Not as loud as in the video but quite noticeable.
I remember stumbling on this forum on similar topic and a suggestion that lubing the door card from the inside in that area should fix the problem. Anyone can confirm this? What to lube with?

Second one is a rattle from left of the dashboard between the doors and the virtual cockpit:

I'm quite convinced it's the dashboard and not the doors. It's easy to provoke and happens on any kind of road irregularities. With music turned to 1/4 volume it's becomes inaudible.
I've tried pressing all the elements on the dash and all seam very solid with no creaking sounds.
It sounds like it's coming from the inside.
I've noticed a lot of people have troubles with speakers and speaker grills rattling but mine are rock solid at all volumes.

ps. ignore my loud breathing... :nomouth:

That’s where I get most of the creaking on the lights In the door cards & it depends on the road surface and music that’s being played. Rear parcel shelf and speakers (standard Audi) for me too. The b9 is annoying in this respect but I try not let it get to me. There is a post about the audio system on the forum too. Good post.

Honestly they are rattle boxes, for the price of the car it's awful!

Picked my S4 last month, 2 days later I was looking at ways to get rid of it! Lol

However, after pulling the majority of the interior and sound deadening all metal surfaces and lining any potential rattle or squeak with felt or foam the car is now solid and 99% noise free, even with the mega hard suspension, just got the boot lid to do and I'll be happy!

Was worth the work though, awesome car to own and drive!

Likewise - my experience is that this does not feel like a quality product. My car has had various rattles / buzzes / squeaks starting from new. The worst was a persistent buzzing from the base of the passenger A pillar - that one was cured with some padding being placed around the speaker. At times I have an intermittent buzzing from the centre roof console (around the SOS button), random rattles from the dash / around the MMI screen, occasional buzzing from the driver side door area etc...

These come and go and may not appear for weeks at a time - I have given up trying to chase them all - at present things are reasnobly quiet.....

Can confirm roof console buzzing on rare occasions like cold engine and low rpm acceleration.
Doesn't concern me much since it's barely audible only when there's no radio on.

Rattles ruin the whole premium experience...this was the main reason I went with an Audi.
I'll let the dealer handle this as soon as Corona situation calms down.
I have a hunch they'll find it in the rattles database on the day one. :)

Which sound deadening product did you use? dont suppose you have any pictures?

Still really interested in this, I'm new to the site and audi in general, the noises are awful....worse than my previous 11 plate 320d which was silent inside regardless of road surface.
I'm eagerly awaiting how people have done this and will be attempting soon

UPDATE:
Found the source of dashboard rattle. Accidentally hit the footwell floor with my leg and heard a familiar noise.
Pressed my foot against it during bumpy road rattle and viola... no more noise.
Still didn't find the time to fix it since it's cold outside but was wondering why is it even loose and what's even holing it in place?
Funny how they neatly insulated that area and decided to just put the same foam for Auto/manual when it's obviously designed for the clutch pedal.

And I've fixed it.
Somehow this got out of it's fixing place. Had to unbolt a few things to get it in place.
Now, all I hear is sweet buzzing from the roof console.

Mine is definitely my door cards, the cause is predominantly the speakers but it's not the actual speakers that are rattling. The bass from the speakers is shaking the door cards...I have messaged someone on here and waiting to see if they reply but im ordering some sound deadening and some felt tape...each door card off 1 at a time and tape everything down/sound deaden everything I can. Fingers crossed because honestly it's nearly a deal breaker for me it sounds that cheap.

Let me know how you get on with it. My door cards also rattle like hell and I’d love to sort it but always hear so many horror stories about taking door cards off I haven’t bothered.

Whoa whoa whoa...what are these horror stories you speak of??? Am I entering into something people haven't come back too well from?
I have ordered felt tape and dead mat soundproofing and was going to give it a good going over when delivered.
I've watched a few vids online and didnt think too much of it so thought I'd be able to.

OK, so this is in fact a very easy job to do, Auid made these cards incredibly easy to remove!

Tomorrow I'll do a guide, what do we prefer, full write up with pics or a go pro video of the process? I need to remove one of mine to make a quick change so will do it then?

Either or I'm happy with mate that would be great. I'm going to do all 4 on my shift days off hopefully get things nice and quiet....hopefully.
Thanks for being willing to do this it would help no end

I’ll have to try and get some material and give it a go myself.

Question is where to wrap or what to wrap lol

Same thoughts so I'm just going to cover as much as poss an tape everything down and go from there....il report back if people are interested

Did you ever find this dash issue? I have the same. I've had the dash apart and to no avail. Last resort I'm going to take the speedo out and dynomat everywhere I can behind the speedo. I have done the door and where I can access from under the steering column. It's made about a 50% difference but I can still hear the noise

It's the tops of the door cards that creak ,
I've been working on the door cards recently adding the door pocket lights , red warning lights and rear puddle lights and leather door armrests .
They are just cheap recycled plastic , and because the door cards apart from the top trim are made for the a4vand a5 the tops are plastic welded together .
Even off the car there is play and creaks in them .
I'd been buying earlier b9 cards for my 2021 and noticed on the older cards they are plastic and then wrapped in like a leatherette, where as my 2021 are just plastic .
