yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Gods name must be mind-numbing-patience. Hopefully by Wed/Thu --- transport method to a ship.

Status 40!!!!!!! Jumped straight from 38 to 40 overnight.

Two boats arrived in the UK yesterday, one at Grimsby and the other at Sheerness. My car is going to Audi Cambridge , so assuming via Sheerness as it is geographically closer?

Dealer contacted me via email to suggest car may be ready for collection at the back end of next week

Wow, very pleased for you. Please keep me updated on the duration of the car being ready for you to take ownership.

Mine is still parked at the Port of exit and have been asked to come back to Customer Service on Friday on the update. May be there is a schedule that need to be maintained, as mine started a week early, so held back etc.. Sure there is some fuzzy logic being applied.

Hopefully you’ll see your car shipped imminently.

Seems the recent weather storms, impacted the schedule and my RS3 is on one of the priority backlog queue with no indicative dates to mention. More waiting..

No such fortunes, my be another couple of days for status 40, and then ....

Finally, Status 40. 5 days on the ship!

great news. Mine is still on 40, so unlikely to collect this weekend I suspect. To be honest I’ve got a pretty busy weekend planned already so not overly concerned if it slips a week

Changed to 60 overnight. Looking at collection from 21st March onwards

going by your timelines, I am a good week behind.. Assuming 70 is when is ready to be collected.

I’m limited to collection at the weekends presently. Car could be ready early next week but I will aim for Saturday

Status 70 this morning. Car reached the dealer’s PDI centre yesterday

Mine Also, just jumped to 70 this morning, Waiting on Sales person to confirm, what is happening and if true, when its ready to be taken ownership.

Still at the port, Transport scheduled for Delivery coming Friday, then 4 to 5 days prep, so last Friday in March to take ownership and drive. Fingers crossed.

Have to admit I haven’t spoken to my dealer, and assumed status 70 was an accurate reflection of its location. Will chase up across the next couple of days.

That is good news.
Have, asked the Audi dealership, to ping me a snap of the car when on site.
Next job, hunting for the best Insurance deal, soon as its registered.

p.s. Forgot to mention, please post a picture to wet my anticipation further.

Had a call today from Audi, Car has arrived a day early attempting to prepare all to hand over the car this weekend, due to uncertainty brewing due to the current virus situation.

I’ve had to take Audi’s free five day drive away insurance as my car registration still isn’t showing on insurance quotation databases. First world problems I guess

Same Here, 5 days taken out starting on Saturday. Also, requested the quote for the rest of the year/3year option. Pretty expensive, for my post-code

Collected yesterday and very, very happy. Great service from Matt at Cambridge Audi. Few observations/ thoughts:

1. I went for the non sport version in Nardo, but with every option bar the assistance pack. I couldn’t justify to myself the additional sport cost when all I wanted was the black pack, particularly as there was no Audi deposit contribution available for the sport variant. Not interested in the SS seats for comfort reasons, nor bothered by the sun roof.

Was geared up to have a front and window surround wrap done, but having seen the car I am more than content with the look, and won’t be bothering with a wrap.

2. When I asked the question, Matt was “90 percent sure” 2020 RS3s with keyless entry have the new fobs with motion sensors in, ie the key goes to sleep after a period of time of no motion. This should help mitigate against relay type theft. Audi Germany hasn’t yet confirmed this though, but the RSQ3 which does have the motion sensor fobs is built on the same production line, and Audi use common parts on that line. As such, strong likelihood Matt’s assertion is accurate.

3. Never owned or been close to a PFL car so don’t have a baseline for any comparison with mine, but I am very happy with the exhaust noise. May be tempted by a valve controller, but, like the wrap, much less concerned about it now.

4. Car was registered yesterday, and is now showing on DVLA databases. Am hoping the same will be quickly true for the insurance quotation databases. Have Audi five day driveway insurance in place, but their year quote was quite a bit higher than the comparison sites. Can’t actually take out the cheapest policy through Saga without a verifiable registration though. (Saga- ok I’m officially old! Well a couple of years past fifty).

5. Matrix lights are brilliant.

Congrats. Keyless entry with motion sensor would be a great plus. Suspect, the car will not be registered with DVLA as the last step in the process before handing over the keys. Enjoy...

Had a call from West London Audi, Bank issues at Audi end, so could not release the car today for me. Next week now.. However, West London Audi did send me a peek snap of "my" car with the plastic wrap still on.

If you are concerned over keyless go and your fob doesn't deactivate when idle (mines a 2018 so definatly doesn't!) you can deactivate keyless entry.
To deactivate lock with the lock button on the key fobs, then touch the lock 'pad' on the door handle within 5s. The car will then require the unlock button on the key fob to be pressed to enter or start thus safeguarding against relay key theft.
You do have to repeat each time you lock the car tho.
They are fantastic cars, Hope you both enjoy - I remember the difficulties with restraint for the first 1k miles....

Thanks JWAM for the hint on deactivation. The level of features on these cars these days are mind blowing. Hopefully, the first 1K will give me time to learn.

Hi everybody,

New member as I ordered a RSQ3 in Feb and waiting for delivery.

My order has been registered on the Tack Your Audi website and my dealer gave me a build week 14 which is around mid April.

I logged on yesterday and it said it would start production on the 30th March! I thought the factory in Belgium was closed? Also, when I logged I this morning, that message disappeared, was it a glitch or an error message. Very strange.
Does this normally happen?

So I shouldn’t expect my car to start construction on the 30th March then?

Have a look at the api data which sits behind the front page. To access make sure you are logged into the Audi site then use this link https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/YOUR ORDER NUMBER . (Replace the capitals with your order number ).

the above will details the current status of your build. Gives a bit more detail than the front page.
If you are still at status 10 your build week is not yet confirmed.
Status 20 means the build week is locked in.
21-24 relate to stages in the build itself.
30 means it has left the factory and is on its way to the port
38/39 cover the ferry to the uk
40 means it has arrived at the uk port
60 means it is scheduled for delivery to your dealer
70 means it is at the dealers

I ordered an RS3 on 14 December, and took delivery on 20th March. Build week was 10th Feb, but it didn’t leave the factory until 19th Feb

To give you an idea of its journey my status codes are shown below.

{"orderStatus":"70","statusDate":"2020-03-13T01:16:19+0000"},{"orderStatus":"40","statusDate":"2020-03-04T01:15:12+0000"},{"orderStatus":"30","statusDate":"2020-02-21T01:14:18+0000"},{"orderStatus":"24","statusDate":"2020-02-10T00:00:00+0000"},{"orderStatus":"23","statusDate":"2020-02-08T00:00:00+0000"},{"orderStatus":"22","statusDate":"2020-02-07T00:00:00+0000"},{"orderStatus":"21","statusDate":"2020-02-06T00:00:00+0000"},{"orderStatus":"20","statusDate":"2020-01-25T01:11:59+0000"},{"orderStatus":"10","statusDate":"2019-12-19T10:36:31+0000"},{"orderStatus":"00","statusDate":"2019-12-19T10:21:54+0000"}]

Yes around about that, Mine started a week earlier, then got stuck at the port due to bad weather for a week. So for me from the Start date of the build you will be looking towards being delivered 6weeks later to the show-room.

Really don't want to type this bit... the above timescales may be influenced by the current global situation and may end up being a longer than normal wait.

West London Audi is shutting the doors at 7 tonight, until further notice.
Car is waiting to be prepped, monies paid.. Dont know when at the moment.. Serious bad luck, this COVID-19 across the globe.

I hope everything will settle down soon and everything will go back to normal. I’m sure yours will be first off the lot when they reopen.

Sorry to hear that mate. Hopefully things will settle down over the coming weeks. During my handover I was told the dealership I used wanted to get all cars handed over as quickly as possible to to avoid the situation you are now in. The salesman also didn’t sit in the car with me, but said he would take any questions over the phone.

Car was also disinfected prior to me getting in, ie gear selector, steering wheel, door handles and other controls. Audi are clearly taking their COVID-19 control measures very very seriously.

On a positive note my registration plate is now showing up on insurance quotation databases, with my drive away insurance expiring at midnight tomorrow. Managed to get protected NCB, legal cover, and a free Green Card for less than £370, despite picking up six points last summer. Guess living in the sticks and being 50 something has its benefits after all.

Appreciate it, CJ10. Lets hope and be positive...
CEO of Sytner announced, they will work to release cars awaiting service first and then new cars after that. Tonights update at 8:30 pm from Boris may change the above statement, if a lockdown is imposed on non-essential services.

Had an indicative quote from Audi, near £900 for a 61 year old for my for my postcode with more than 20years of NCB. Was expecting it to be high. Glad you found a good deal.

Just waiting on the 8:30pm daily update on the next steps.

Decided, to wait for relaxation on business rather than go for a refund.
Car is in a safe place now, with restriction on running in, best option is to wait.

Actually, looking at the order tracker. It appears that my car has been built. I guess the factory is up and running or that there are very few orders coming that they had the time to build my car much quicker due to the crisis.
It says quality control now.
